Jamal Crawford or J.R. Smith.

Crawford.

They play similar roles, but Crawford has his head screwed on straight and is less likely to melt down.

Either way, the Cavs team is super deep.

JR easily
Crawford plays absolutely no defense and is absolutely TERRIBLE in the playoffs

Crawford has a net rating of -11 in the playoffs and a 0 VORP, while JR's is -5 and has a 1.2 VORP in the playoffs

Crawford's net rating in the playoffs last year was -20 with a defensive rating of 111. NEGATIVE TWENTY, that should not happen while playing with chris paul
JR Smith in the playoffs last year had a +6

I wonder what their numbers say over their career in the playoffs. JR has been notoriously bad in the playoffs.

JR Smith isn't exactly great in the playoffs either, but he is still much better than Crawford. That is how bad Crawford is in the playoffs. He has a net rating of -11 while playing on the clippers in the playoffs. He was actually slightly better in Atlanta (-8). JR Smith has 3 playoff runs with a better TS% than Crawford's most efficient playoff run.

JR gives them a better chance to even get to the playoffs in the first place
His defense improved and his 3 point shooting is more of what they need

The Cavs don't need JR or JC to make the playoffs, they already have an abundance of talent.

yes they can make the playoffs without them
But with JR or even JC they are more likely to finish higher.
And we all know that HCA has been more then 75% of a big factor despite some exceptions.

His defense really did improve with the Cavs. I think it was just the effort level more than anything.
