The thought of Creative Design is not difficult to comprehend or believe.
The thought of believing ANY of the man-made religions is absolutely asinine and delusional.

Him, funny, in 1 Corinthians it talks about what you just said. Thank God for His Word!Ghostown42 wrote:

1 Corinthians 1:18 ►

One more bite on CleveTown's trolling apple.
Who wouldn't want to believe in God? Eternal life!! Bitching!!
Unfortunately, it's no more than wishful thinking. There isn't a scintilla of evidence that we are anything but another essentially insignificant part of the universe, basically on par with the ant you inadvertently stepped on this morning.
We happened to evolve to be outside the food chain and "King of our castle" so to speak but big deal.
Enjoy life, make the most of it and try to leave a positive legacy. It's all you can do and control.

it takes way more faith to believe that than it does in God.vcsgrizzfan wrote:One more bite on CleveTown's trolling apple.

Not if you have an IQ higher than room temperature. Evolution is hardly controversial anymore, except with religious zealots. Enjoy your trolling CleveTown. I'm out of this thread, although I'm sure I'll pipe in on others of the genre later on.CleveTown™ wrote:it takes way more faith to believe that than it does in God.vcsgrizzfan wrote:One more bite on CleveTown's trolling apple.

Wasn't he supposed to know that would happen? He's supposed to be an all-knowing and all-powerful being, yet he created such a shit system with mountains of evidence that contradicts his "holy" book.CleveTown™ wrote:God did not create us perfect BUT with free will. we took that free will and dirtied ourselves with it. That's it! It's a free gift! And yet many still refuse it. They would rather live the way they want and Die in their own sin. Well I have a good news in Jesus Christ. And that's that he died in your place if only you would believe.
GOD CHOSE US. GOD CHOSE TO DIE FOR US. GOD CHOSE TO REDEEM US.
Praise be to God that He sent His son to die for us. Sin had left a crimson stain on the cross, but He washed it white as snow!

..it's not, but many like to buck the norm and put themselves out there as non-believers(to be noticed/attention seeking)....this is more a psychological issue than anything, probably not hugged enough as a kid or just generally ignored, a lot...

Many humans are extremely narcissistic and can't handle the idea that they are insignificant.vcsgrizzfan wrote:One more bite on CleveTown's trolling apple.

Re: Why is the concept of God so hard to believe?
What's funny about this is that in a few hundred years, give or take, virtually no one will believe in the "God" you worship. You don't recognize you were indoctrinated into a belief system that doesn't hold water. As knowledge grows and spreads at an ever increasing pace, the thought of religion as it currently exists will be viewed no differently than how we currently view Greek mythology and its Gods, sun worshippers etc.jordanzone wrote:..it's not, but many like to buck the norm and put themselves out there as non-believers(to be noticed/attention seeking)....this is more a psychological issue than anything, probably not hugged enough as a kid or just generally ignored, a lot...

This is so contradictory to the truth that it isn't even remotely funny.jordanzone wrote:..it's not, but many like to buck the norm and put themselves out there as non-believers(to be noticed/attention seeking)....this is more a psychological issue than anything, probably not hugged enough as a kid or just generally ignored, a lot...
The biggest attention seeking whore on this board is the guy who created this thread and reminds us all OFTEN that Christians are supposed to spread the word of God. It doesn't get any more attention-seeking than that.

..yes Robbie, when one attempts to spread the good word, the hope is that the attention is raised...but, it appears the attention is not well reciprocated because many of you have issues that prevent you from accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior...Robceltsfan wrote:This is so contradictory to the truth that it isn't even remotely funny.jordanzone wrote:..it's not, but many like to buck the norm and put themselves out there as non-believers(to be noticed/attention seeking)....this is more a psychological issue than anything, probably not hugged enough as a kid or just generally ignored, a lot...

The prediction is not outlandish at all. It's a natural development that is pretty much unstoppable, assuming we don't blow ourselves to smithereens. Knowledge grows and spreads more and more quickly and untenable dogma eventually dies out. It's not that complicated.

That's because he's not my Lord and Savior. He's not yours either. You've been tricked to believe otherwise.jordanzone wrote:..yes Robbie, when one attempts to spread the good word, the hope is that the attention is raised...but, it appears the attention is not well reciprocated because many of you have issues that prevent you from accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior...Robceltsfan wrote:This is so contradictory to the truth that it isn't even remotely funny.jordanzone wrote:..it's not, but many like to buck the norm and put themselves out there as non-believers(to be noticed/attention seeking)....this is more a psychological issue than anything, probably not hugged enough as a kid or just generally ignored, a lot...

That's religion. Somebody created that....a man or group of men. Please, keep wasting your time with it. For you; however, your belief in that fantasy probably saved your life (which is a good thing). Religion has it's merits...but authenticity isn't one of them.CleveTown™ wrote:dont pay attention to religion. Just believe on the Lord and His Word, the Bible.
