Jesus Christ Deez, unmackerelize yourself.

It's very impressive. She ran a 3:23 pre-pregnancy marathon. She was in peak condition.

Abe proving he knows very little about this topic - it isn't the norm to run that distance but many women run while pregnant. As long as her heart rate doesn't go too high and she stays hydrated - and with the okay of her obgyn - I don't see the problem.

Personally, I wouldn't run a full pregnant. Did run a half while carrying. Not nearly the same thing. And I did run it very slow, just to be on the safe side. Running while pregnant is fine for some.

P.S. Why is Abe reading Runner's World anyway?

Please reread that bolded part again. You seem to be contradicting yourself in the same sentence.

[Note: Maybe I know about it because I run. Or I know the chick. Or I find random articles online. Or some combination of these.]

Running in the third trimester

If you have been as careful as you can be in the first two trimesters now is an even more important time to be extra careful.

During this trimester listen to your body. If you feel too tired or to sore to run, then don’t. Be sure not to push yourself too much as this can often be more dangerous and may cause more problems than doing no exercise at all.

As your pregnancy nears it's end, it may be a good idea to tone down the amount of running you are doing. In fact your healthcare provider may even recommend that you look at reducing your running all together to a fast paced walk instead.

Warning signs when running

Never run or jog to the point of exhaustion or breathlessness
Vaginal bleeding
Dizziness
Fainting
Blurred vision
Contractions

I was as serious about that first part as you were when you said her time "sucked balls." I have no idea if you run. Good for you if you do.

My point was simply that women can do *most of* what they were doing before while pregnant. Because it was Boston there was an article about it, but there are pregnant women out there running every day.

I bet if she experienced any of those things, she would have stopped. She ran it an hour slower so her pace was considerably slower and she was only 30 pounds heavier (the baby could have been about 3 pounds at that point, not full term). I wouldnt do it but I say more power to her. The baby is fully protected in the womb but I would be too worried about how my body would hold up with the distance. And what if she tripped and fell? That is the kind of thing I would worry about.

This thread is all the proof I need to tell my girl when/if she gets prego we can still go at it when she's full term.

Just tell her to ask the doctor. They will agree with you.

About 6 or 7 months in she'll get into a seriously horny phase. Unless you've got a 14" dick the baby will be just fine.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.
