Curry is in another realm as a scorer...
compared to Westbrick and Harden.
37 points on just 22 shots and 4 free throw attempts leading his team down from 26 points on the road.
If he got the ref bailouts that Westbrick and Harden get, it wouldn't even be close. Not that it is any way.

This year Lebron's efficiency is waay down. Curry is a better scorer than he is too.Jordan420Bulls wrote:876Stephen wrote:compared to Westbrick and Harden.

He doesn't take many shots or free throws compared to other high scorers. If he did, he'd be averaging close to 35 a game.LakersNeedShaq wrote:"Another realm as a scorer"?

Getting those free throw attempts is a part of being a great scorer.876Stephen wrote:He doesn't take many shots or free throws compared to other high scorers. If he did, he'd be averaging close to 35 a game.LakersNeedShaq wrote:"Another realm as a scorer"?

Perhaps, they also get many a bailout calls from the refs that Curry doesn't get, even though he gets hacked a lot going to the basket.Max wrote:Getting those free throw attempts is a part of being a great scorer.876Stephen wrote:He doesn't take many shots or free throws compared to other high scorers. He doesn't get the benefit of the doubt like most superstars.

Re: Curry is in another realm as a scorer...
I'd be more convinced if guys like Harden and Westbrook could actually score a high volume of points efficiently but neither of them can.y2ktors wrote:Max wrote:Getting those free throw attempts is a part of being a great scorer.876Stephen wrote:

Guys like Durant, Lebron and Curry who can score efficiently without free throws are different.
Look at all of Westbrook's and Harden's high scoring games. And compare those to Curry.
Not to mention the fact that Curry doesn't have the ball in his hands nearly as much as other superstar players.

"If" lol. I used to doubt if you were really a Bulls fan or just trolling them. But now that you're throwing "if" arguments around, I have no doubts.

You so you think Westbrook and Harden are better scores because they score more?LakersNeedShaq wrote:876Stephen wrote:He doesn't take many shots or free throws compared to other high scorers. If he did, he'd be averaging close to 35 a game.LakersNeedShaq wrote:"Another realm as a scorer"?

Westbrook takes 4 more shots per game and 5 more free throws per game yet he only scores 2.5 more ppt.
That's pathetic to tell you the truth. Same with Harden.
Re: Curry is in another realm as a scorer...
If he attacked the basket the way Westbrook and Harden did, he probably would get note "ref bailouts"876Stephen wrote:compared to Westbrick and Harden.

You can't just assume everything will continue its current status in these types of arguments, dude. If Curry took more shots, it's logical to assume that his percentages would dip. By how much? I have no idea. Also, if he focused more on being a scorer, other team defenses would play him differently.
And yes, Harden and Westbrook are better scorers than Curry.

Maybe, then again Harden takes 7 threes a game. Curry takes 8. Every time Harden goes to the basket a foul gets called. Every time Curry goes to the basket a foul isn't called.Dagger wrote:If he attacked the basket the way Westbrook and Harden did, he probably would get note "ref bailouts"876Stephen wrote:compared to Westbrick and Harden.

Re: Curry is in another realm as a scorer...
You think Curry's field goal percentage would drop 49% to 43% just by taking 4 more shots? I seriously doubt that. As good a shooter as Curry isLakersNeedShaq wrote:You can't just assume everything will continue its current status in these types of arguments, dude. defenses can't stop him from getting what he wants when he wants.
And yes they would play him differently but Curry is a superstar. Superstars overcome any adjustments made by defenses. Anyways Curry is already defended like a scorer rather than a passer which is why he is double and triple teamed every time down the court on offense.
Im astonished that people think what Westbrook is doing is impressive at least scoring wise. It's not hard to score a lot of points when you shoot the ball 38 times in a game and get 16 free throws, or shoot 32 times and get 14 free throws.
He's not doing anything special.

Curry is in another realm as a shooter, not so much as a scorer.

Re: Curry is in another realm as a scorer...
How is Westbrook a better scorer? The only argument i can see is that he scores more points. No one seems to care how those points are achieved. If that's the only requirement than Allen Iverson is one of the best scorers in NBA history.PhutureDynasty wrote:Curry is in another realm as a shooter, not so much as a scorer.

I was thinking the same thing about Curry, to be honest. He's averaging 23.6ppg 7.9apg. I mean I get that you're a huge fan, but those aren't "oh my god how amazing!" type stats. He's a borderline superstar, if at all.
Re: Curry is in another realm as a scorer...
Doesn't Westbrook have a better TS% while scoring more points?
That should pretty much /thread.
