Jack Bauer has been spotted covered in blood as 24 started its explosive shoot in London.

Kiefer Sutherland, who plays the action hero, looked bruised and battered as he filmed the new series in Aldgate, east London.

The actor is returning to the role of the former Counter Terrorist Unit agent turned fugitive for the ninth season of the hit TV show.

Kiefer said of the London shoot: ‘I was born in England and I’ve spent big chunks of my life there, but I’m anxious about [shooting in London].

The first 2 seasons are great. The other seasons are just more of the same though.
