Joker: 36/21/8/2/1 on 56%/50%/83% (5-6 from line, 2-TO/4-PF) in 43 minutes (+4)
Murray: 13/7/7/2/0 on 30%/20%/100% (2-2 from line, 3-TO/4-PF) in 42 minutes (+8)
...and this is THE "go to" gospel stat for many on this board.
at Jamal's tomato can supporting cast.
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."
"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."
Didn't read, but going to assume this is ultimate retarded take focusing on one game. None of the smart kids deny the limitations of +/- in small samples. Noise can drown out everything in small samples.
The data with Jokic and his teammates is not based on small samples. It is based on every single minute Jokic isn't on the floor during games and of course all the minutes in games he misses. That's a very large data set over the course of a season and is a very good gauge of how they perform independently.
The data is undeniable. Out of all star players, particularly Tatum and SGA, their teams perform very well without them. They are independently good of their star playery.
Just the opposite with Jokic. In a very large sample of minutes, we know they stink without him..
It's undeniable - unless you have severe cognitive bias, or extreme stupidity.
It's why they lose at an alarming rate when he misses and OKC and Boston barely miss a beat without SGA and Tatum. Same thing used to happen with LeBron and his first stint in his latter years with the Cavs. It's hardly surprising if you aren't a moron.
Game 4
LeFraud: 27/12/8/3/3 with 3-TO's / 2-PF on 56%/50%/83% = -4
Reaves: 17/7/4/1/2 with 1-TO / 5-PF on 43%/40%/0% +5
A. Edwards: 43/9/6/0/1 with 1-TO / 2-PF on 52%/50%/83% (5-10 from deep/14-17 FT) = +3
McDaniels: 16/11/3/1/0 with 2-TO's / 4-PF on 54%/66%/66% (2-3 from deep/FT line) = +8
We can do this aaaaaall day and night folks... but but but, the stat is credible for "reasons".
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."
"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."
More Game 4 action:
Butler: 27/5/6/0/1, 0-TO / 3-PF on 58%/50%/100% in 40 minutes = +2
Curry: 17/3/3/1/0, 4-TO / 2-PF on 46%/25%/100% in 39 minutes = +12
Green: 6/8/2/0/0, 1-TO / 5-PF on 28%/40%/0% in 31 minutes = +17
Welp... it would appear that the infamous +/- (held as Gospel by many) continues to give the WORST player/s the better/best results over and over and over again... but-but-but taken in large sample sizes I'm sure it simply must be credible because of reasons and stuff.

...and BTW, no one is going to respond to this thread BECAUSE it exposes their/your utter stupidity about +/- being some legit, credible stat.
It's a WOEFULLY flawed stat used by arm-chair geniuses who know very little about the game... similar to an Operations Manager trying to successfully run a multi-million dollar division of a company that's 1000 miles away simply by looking at the balance sheets.
Stupid people like meathead LNS don't get it though, so they reply with nonsense instead.

Imagine growing up a spoiled, privileged, rich white kid who had his parents pay his way to DePaul University, and still failing to learn even basic critical thinking skills.
More Game 4
A. Thompson: 17/9/2/1/0, 1-TO / 3-PF on 58%/0%/60% in 31 minutes = -17
Jalen Green: 8/3/1/0/0, 5-TO / 3-PF on 37%/20%/33% in 25 minutes = -11
Once again the worst player = the (much) better +/-... but-but-but the stat only works a certain way.

According to +/- Jamal Murray has been the Nuggets' Most Valuable Player through the first 5 games BY FAR AND AWAY:
Game 1
Joker: +10 Murray: +12
Game 2
Joker: 0 Murray: +5
Game 3
Joker: -20 Murray: -15
Game 4
Joker: +4 Murray: +8
Game 5 Joker: +18
Murray: +17
Imagine what this guy could do if he had more consistent help around him! Sure Joker came through in Game 5 (with his 13-PTS on 4-13 shooting), but it's clear that Jamal's tomato can teammates are going to have to step-up consistently if the Nuggets hope to make a run at the Championship this year!

lol
I can guarantee he never took a logic or statistics course at DePaul.

Happens about every 30 games or so. If they are very, very lucky we might get one more such game if they go all the way.
Your "go-to" stat suggests Joker has been riding Murray's coat-tails the entire series, except for Game 5 when it shows Joker (+18) carried more of the load with his 13-PTS on 31% shooting vs. Murray's 43 on 65% (+17).
But I'm sure +/- will start to make sense eventually though, right...
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."
"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."
Jamal Murray was clearly the most important piece to the Nuggets... I guess this +/- stat is pretty cool after all.
Game 1
Joker: +10 Murray: +12
Game 2
Joker: 0 Murray: +5
Game 3
Joker: -20 Murray: -15
Game 4
Joker: +4 Murray: +8
Game 5 Joker: +18
Murray: +17
Game 6
Joker: +1 Murray: +2
Game 7
Joker: +16 Murray: +19
It's an absolute bloodbath... Jamal Murray all day/every day. Hopefully for the Nuggets' sake Joker will step up in the next round... Jamal can't carry his soft, non-athletic white ass forever.

Denver got the win thanks to tomato-can Gordon's CLUTCH 3-pointer (and +16), but again... Joker is gonna have to step-up his game (and do more to support Murray) if the Nuggets hope to win this series.

Do you honestly think I give a shit if no one responds, meathead? I ENJOY proving idiots like you/others wrong with threads like this one... which is why I keep bumping it.
Thus far, according to the "go-to stat" of many on this board, (tomato-can d-leaguer) Jamal Murray has been THE most important player on the Nuggets during the Playoffs.
Discuss how that makes you feel because we KNOW how it makes the others feel, evidenced by the fact that they're avoiding this thread like the plague.
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."
"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."
YET ANOTHER game where Murray proves he's more important to the Nuggets than Joker (8 of the 9 Playoff games so far, actually)!!
So the question now becomes... at what point is the "sample size" going to be large enough to give this ridiculously flawed and embarrassing stat some credibility???
Wait, lemme guess... as soon as it shows a favorable outcome for Joker???
Amirite?
at all the arm-chair +/- "geniuses" getting their shit pushed in MASSIVELY in this thread.
