AL East
Tampa Bay Rays: 60 - 36
Baltimore Orioles: 57 - 35
Toronto Blue Jays: 53 - 41
Boston Red Sox: 50 - 44
New York Yankees: 50 - 44
Meanwhile, the leading team in the AL Central...
Minnesota Twins: 48 - 46
This AL East might be the deepest baseball division I have ever seen for a single season.
The worst team in the AL East (the Yankees) would lead the AL Central by 2 games.

If you remember our "bold prediction" thread at the start of the season......I said I thought the AL East would finish with all 5 teams above .500. It's a sick division. They're a combined 70 games above .500. The next best division is the NL East at just 24 games above .500. The NL East would be 23 games back of the AL East.PhutureDynasty wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 10:22 am AL East

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Might still hold true again, but the Rays have a much better offense this year. Last year they scored 666 runs. This year they are on pace for 870 runs and still have one of the best team ERA's. They're also 3rd in home runs and 2nd in stolen bases. Unlike past years when they had to rely solely on pitching to win games they can do some damage with their offense now.Thedictator wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 12:06 pm Tampa is fools gold, the Indians smoked them last year in the playoffs
But it's baseball...and Florida...so anything can happen.

As if it matters. But the 91 AL west teams all finished .500 or better. Not sure if it has happened since.
