Do you think this is at all karma for not paying out my fantasy basketball earnings?AbeVigodaLive wrote:zombiesonics wrote: Great leadership you got there, Abe.
Right or wrong... They've made the decision that lives >>> buildings.
There would be deaths if the cops approached the situation right now. The other angle is that by letting that non-residential area be the concentrated targeted area... it keeps other areas throughout the cities that were threatened earlier today safer.
[Note: I know about a dozen Minneapolis firefighters, almost all of them were teammates/friends in some capacity from high school. Personally, I'd like to keep those boys safe.]

It doesn't matter because you've admitted that I beat you in yet another basketball related competition. Nothing changes I'm still superior to you in basketball etiquette, technique, and IQ. Bitch.

It’s like downtown Mogadishu. The skinnies have forced the police to pull out.

I have no problem pulling the cops from the situation, provided they receive an immediate 50 percent cut in pay and benefits.
These situations are *exactly* what we allegedly give massive benefits and tax monies to mostly White cops for (as opposed to protecting the public good by ticketing drivers doing 76 in a 65, or destroying a kid's lemonade stand because they don't have a permit).
If you are a coward (or otherwise blocked by higher ups from action), you don't deserve a hero's compensation.
Sorry.

Maybe. I don't think it's the rank-and-file cops making the call though.
And I don't think city leaders are worried as much about police lives... as escalating the situation if more citizens (even if its Antifa rabble rousers) die.
[Note: That lemonade stand sucked balls. The kid was cutting the lemonade with too much water. He deserved to be shut down.]

I think that's likely true, but also a convenient cover for cowardly cops who wouldn't participate even if they had the green light (and legally they wouldn't be required to either).AbeVigodaLive wrote:

It's proof-positive they are either unwilling or incapable of controlling meaningfully violent situations.
Either way, automatic compensation cuts.
"Escalating the situation" is nonsense. Read the Thomas Sowell piece I linked up above.
It's pure, unadulterated fear and cowardice.

Ok. Maybe. I dunno.
I do know you have a deep-seeded distrust of the police from our dealings over the years.
I don't think it's entirely unjustified in some ways. But you DEFINITELY have a lot of animosity toward the police in general which reveals in very biased takes... every time.

1. They can't control the situation, OR
2. The can control the situation, but are unwilling to do so
What's this hidden third option I'm not seeing?
Be specific.

At this point, it's the first one. When the thing kicked off, it was the second one. Either way, it's about as comprehensive a failure as you can possibly get. Hypothetically...what would stop Black people from just killing random passive White people (or Asians) right now?[/spoiler]
Good narrative. Maybe there will be racial issues eventually among protestors... BUT... are you watching the actual scenes?
Do you see the percentage of white people in the crowd... specifically in the situation in Mpls and the police station? Take a look at any live feeds.
[Note: It's already been reported that many of the people are not from the city... and that instigators are flocking here.]

He died because he did something illegal, and then complied with the police, so they treated him less than human.UNC MJ FAN. wrote:is that how he died? I thought the cops shot him.CleveTown™ wrote:This is just getting pathetic now.Incognito wrote: Joggers blew up a gas station.
