He's famous primarily for being brad Pitt as opposed to any particular movie.

I almost listed those together with a hyphen between them. I love A River Runs Through It but mostly for the scenery. I used to fly fish as a kid with my grandpa and I stopped when he passed away. Those scenes of them fly fishing bring back great memories.AbeVigodaLive wrote:Anybody seen Meet Joe Black?
Just how bad was it?
[Note: A couple of decent early Pitt gems: A River Runs Through It and Legends of the Fall... he basically plays the dreamy golden child in both... only with different haircuts.]
Regarding Meet Joe Black, my wife owned that movie before we got married. I had never seen it and asked one night if we should watch it. She said no and stated that it's very boring. I still don't have an answer to why she bought it.

Feel like Interview with a Vampire really put him on the map. Fight Club was a few years after you could probably flip flop as #1-2.

That's kind of what I'm wondering. Has he gotten by for being a good looking, supposedly cool guy that's not a terrible actor or is he actually a very good actor that is very selective with his roles?kobeunderbite wrote:He's famous primarily for being brad Pitt as opposed to any particular movie.

It seems he's slipping behind the camera and producing more and more. Might be a good move for him.Madnessssss wrote:Without that movie he was fading, so maybe. He's been cranking out movies for 3 decades yet he's most famous for that movie that came out last year?Madnessssss wrote:Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is the only movie he won an Oscar for and was a bigger hit than some others on that list

I'm not even into fishing... and that movie makes me long to move to Montana.
As for your wife... maybe she's a big Claire Forlani fan.

Never seen Interview with a Vampire. Might have to check it out.
I'd probably say Se7en from the above list though.
Fight club was awesome as well.

Re: What movie is Brad Pitt most famous for?
I think he's a good actor but he's also so good looking and famous that it's distracting in his movies. Definitely enjoyed him in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.Kingcarl24 wrote:That's kind of what I'm wondering. In Se7en he’s basically just known as a meme...
In Fight Club he damn near has a cult following as Tyler Durden. It’s easily his most quoted role, with a bunch of aimless Griff-types using his mindset as an excuse to give up on life.
Best movie he was in was Inglourious Basterds though IMO.
