A live action Spiderverse to me would be more fresh than nostalgic. No one has ever done anything like it.

Same here.LeBronMonsterDunk wrote:Spider-Man does nothing for me.
I actually like Tom Holland and think he plays the role extremely well.
I just never got behind the character much.

Anyone who has beef with Spidey is essentially ISIS.

Yeah but Into the Spiderverse just did it so well. Let it stay in the animated world.Kobeunderbite wrote:A live action Spiderverse to me would be more fresh than nostalgic. No one has ever done anything like it.

Re: Spider-Man out of the MCU as Sony deal falls apart
Spider-Man is excellent, but more importantly possesses the greatest roster of villains and wealth of stories that are movie-worthy in comics by far.
What's really interesting about this falling out is that Norman Osborn was probably the odds-on favorite to be the next 'big bad' for The Avengers as part of a Dark Avengers storyline, or equally as likely as a Secret Wars/Galacturs-centered conflict. The MCU didn't just lose Spider-Man, it lost like 1,000 characters that Sony owns that are awesome.

Spider-Man does have the best villains in the MCU.Kobeunderbite wrote:Spider-Man is excellent, but more importantly possesses the greatest roster of villains and wealth of stories that are movie-worthy in comics by far.

Hey did you see the Avengers game just dropped 20 minutes of gameplay? Looks better but still seems extremely generic.

Disney is a mammoth but I wouldn't expect them to be able to just buy Sony to take over Spider-Man. Sony isn't exactly a small company plus the transaction would take so long that Sony would have time to fuck up Spider-Man regardless.
