Give an honest assessment of your posting for 2016

Post by LNS »

Thought I could've stepped it up a tad, personally. I took a ton of time off this year from posting, even more so than normal. Between work and my wife & kids and school I've been burning the candle on both ends and my posting game has suffered for it. A few troll attempts fell flat and some of my jokes went without "Likes", which contributed even more to my slump. The Lakers started out well but have since hit a skid, so I had to postpone many arrogant Laker fan threads I had in store. Hoping for a resurgent 2017 and a healthy posting year. If healthy I consider myself a top 10 poster on the board, but right now my head's just not in the game.

I was cruising at maybe 65% this year, but it was still enough to rise to the top in this group

I'm a bottom barrel poster and don't put much effort into it. 2016 did nothing to change that. I got lucky a couple times in 2015 but couldn't back it up this year. I'm a one hit wonder who will now start to resent the fact that I had a hit everyone loved and now I'll never be able to regain my glory and reach that pinnacle again. I will just become more and more bitter as time goes on.

My posting would have been much better if I had two livers like the OP.

I'm "consistent". Kind of like my investing style. I outperform year after year my benchmarks but do it quietly.

I'm at a solid 2.3%, which is a massive upgrade from last year at 0.1%

I expect in a couple of years I will finish somewhere slightly under 10%

I disagree. I think your posting took a hit this year and you mailed it in. A few times your arguments didn't even make any sense.

Generally consistent A-/A-level work, although the rise of Trump through off my regularly scheduled game for a period of time.

I've been nominated for poster of the year three years in a row but never won. I'm hoping this is the year that I break through and win the thing.
Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.

B-. Flipped a bit when Clevetown kept exploiting pics of his kid for attention, but otherwise another decent year. First half of 2017 might be less quality on here as I have a few big projects approaching deadlines. Might post drunk a little more.

You would be worthy. Sadly, as in our democracy, we have many morons who get a vote. Your posting is so far above their heads you don't even register. Doomed to be a bridesmaid. :suds:

Hence the 65%
Which was still good enough for elite status

I thought you did a fine job and TBH no one really stood out to me as "poster of the year" for 2016. You have a great chance, IMO.

I'm sure you do, mama's boy... that way you don't have to worry about donating one of your livers to TDK.

Yes, I want simple internet jargon that children understand to not go over your head. It makes you look old and outdated, and no one deserves to feel that way.
