Socialism only works if everyone is willing to put forth the same effort. This is not the case.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

raising the minimum wage has a direct correlation to a better economy because poorer people spend all the money they bring in while rich people save it.

I'd rather be on welfare than to work a low wage job that wouldn't allow me to survive anyway.

It's why people would rather stay on unemployment than to work at McDonald's and earn LESS money than they would collecting unemployment benefits.

And I don't give a crap at this point about all these "high and mighty" people who look down on the unemployed who collect benefits, why ? because it's a dog-eat-dog brutal world, economic warfare, you do whatever you have to do in order to survive.

A friend of mine was vehemently against gubmint benefits ("handouts"), wouldn't take em at any cost...until he was knocked da'fuggout on his ass. He's now collecting stamps.

So yeah, I'm a "bum", I'm a "loser", I'm "broke" blah blah blah, until one of YOU end up in my situation one day (or worse).

No raising the minimum wage is just going to create more inflation for everything else so the status quo will remain the same

My pops left like 1 1/2 weeks ago, however I'm not going there UNLESS there's a job guaranteed for me. Anyway, things are picking up on the music side of things (I'll send you a PM with the link to the CD). Finally got the ball rollin' and will hopefully score more music related gigs from here on out.

what're you doing musically? Making beats for people?
I produced and released a progressive trance EP besides a couple of remixes way back and now collaborated with a producer for his chilled/ambient album due out late August. It puts my name back out there again and helps me reap remixing gigs (the minimum pay to remix a house/trance tune is $300, not much but once one gets a formula down where one can pump out remixes with the quickness, the pay isn't too bad).

I mostly mess with electronic dance music. But I had to "go back to school" these past couple of years and focus on improving my mixing/EQ/mastering cause I was never up to speed in that department (bussing, using sends, properly applying FX, using compression the right way, which sounds to choose/mix and understanding analog synths and wave forms better).

So now I'm finally comfortable enough where I can write and produce a track that's clean and "pro" enough.

The idea of a guaranteed income eliminating poverty or being anything other than a net negative for the economy is quite frankly stupid and not worth much of a response.
Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.
