Prob depends on what you’re into TBH. For the last few years I’ve listened to hundreds of hip hop albums.. basically I’ll play 3-4 albums a week but only shit that has come out this year, and usually just underground or slept on albums and EPs only. And IMO 2025 has been pretty solid so far. Not that anyone asked but here are the albums I’ve listened to so far:

Hip-hop/gansta rap and techno crap is by far the worst "music", if you even want to call it that... therefore I'd say today's "era" is worst ever.

Disco, Funk, R&B, Soul, Blues, Jazz, Fusion, Pop, Rock, Psychedelic, the beginning of Metal, Punk and New Wave... there were soooo many genres at their peak of creativity, lyrical brilliance and outstanding musicianship during the 70's. No other era can compare.
Today's rap (and that annoying AF techo garbage) isn't even music... it's just horrible.
