Discuss how that fact makes you feel...
"Today's NBA is soft, the Defense is weak, and the rules 'really' favor the Offense."

"Lebron doesn’t guard for a full game and our game plan was to get him to play defense and he left me open all game."

Easier to hit 'em when nobody is covering the perimeter. Plus, all the stats are inflated from when they moved in the 3-point line.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

For instance, outside of the shorter-arc years, Kerr was a 42.4% 3-point shooter. During the shortened years, he was 49.8%

That would drop Kerr from #1 all-time down to 13th.

I guess that explains why Scoring is higher today than it's been since the 70's. Thanks for clearing things up.

STILL better than Steph Curry.

But But But... 90's players couldn't shoot.

Kerr was a specialist who averaged 6 PPG in his career. He made 726 3's over a 15-year career.

To put that into perspective, Curry made 726 3's in two back-to-back seasons (402 & 324 in 15-16 & 16-17).

They are NOWHERE IN THE VACINITY as the same.

Exactly. Today's players are THAT MUCH BETTER than in your Golden Years.

So weak/soft Defense = higher Scoring... well golly gee, who would have ever figured that to be the case.

Who wins this contest. Steve Kerr and Steph Curry play a game of one on one at age 25, they can only shoot the 3 ball. Curry wins this game big. Kerr was nothing more than a spot up shooter. He could never create his own shot.

Steph is the better player, no question... but based on the stats Kerr is the GOAT 3-point shooter.

There is a reason I don’t post as much as I on e did, the posters in here are idiots. They have excuses for everything when something from the past is brought up to today’s era. Literally an excuse for every single thing

It's not an excuse to point out that shooting closer to the rim is easier (all else equal) than shooting from farther away.

Or that the volume and complexity of today's threes are significantly greater than the 1990s.

Or that the line was not nearly as guarded in the 90s as it today (for shooters).

If Steph Curry shot 1 or 2 open premium threes a game, he would likely shoot about 85 percent. That's what the quantum analytics say.

If you think Steve Kerr is a better shooter than Steph Curry, then you’re welcome to post even less than you do now.

Like clockwork Steph hits 12 treys last night and drops 52.

Steve Kerr could never...
Hubert Davis could never...
Drazen Petrovic could never...
Tim Legler could never...
The 90's could never...
