MJ won 3 straight Championships with just one (1) all-star teammate... LeCommie lost 60% of the time in the Finals with multiple HOFERS around him.

Bron competed against multiple MVPs and all-time greats, during a very tough era.thedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 11:21 am MJ won 3 straight Championships with just one (1) all-star teammate... LeCommie lost 60% of the time in the Finals with multiple HOFERS around him.

Re: lebron without superteams
people like to talk about LeBron stats like that makes him the greatest of all time? Russell Westbrook averaged a triple double for multiple seasons and is highly considered one of the worst players in the league, despite his god-given ability to put up "stats".
let that sink in.

The hype plays into that. Westbrook was never on popular magazine covers when he was in 11th grade. His first NBA game wasn't nationally televised. Hell he didn't even start his first 20 games or so.Alex_Murphy wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 5:32 pm people like to talk about LeBron stats like that makes him the greatest of all time? Excellent point... and Wilt is another. His "stats" make LeCommie's look bush-league (and he also played in the same wide-open, fast-paced, stat-inflated Offensive Era like James plays), yet Chamberlain is rarely mentioned as the GOAT, if ever anymore, these days anyhow.Alex_Murphy wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 5:32 pm people like to talk about LeBron stats like that makes him the greatest of all time? Noah is actually an excellent pick.,, and really it's no insult to Russell Homers either because Noah would have been a sure HOF if not for the injuries. Both average at best Scorers, but both had their moments. Both great Playmakers, Rebounders, Defenders and Leaders. Both Hustle guys and both 100% Team/Winning first.

I always thought Noah was the perfect comparison for Russell. The Boring White Guy Crew freaked the fuck out though which isn’t surprising. They are the same guys who think 90s ball is ancient but think the 60s were actually a tough erathedangerouskitchen wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 11:21 pm

I used to think Rodman (elite D, elite Rebounder, elite Hustle and WInning mindset, solid Playmaker)... but Noah was all that as well, plus more on Russ' level as a Leader and Scorer (than The Worm) so yeah, good call.Titan18 wrote: ↑Sun May 28, 2023 11:55 pmI always thought Noah was the perfect comparison for Russell.
