Just had a 50K experience lunch expedition. Lucky egg, incense, loads of evolutions over at Lure Park by my work netted me nearly 50K experience (halfway to level 23). Kinna sucks, quite a few of the evolutions came back with appraisals, "not good in battle" or "decent pokemon". Did evolve some new Pokes; 106 unique now.

How do you best take advantage of lured pokestops and incense? I feel like neither of things do anything for me but attract Pidgeys and Rattatas.


By the way, the game NEEDS to cut back on Pidgeys, Rattatas, and Paras. I have a photo on my phone where there were like 6 pokes on the map at once and they were all the most worthless pokes.

I went for a small 1K walk just now. I found a spot with 2 Pokestops both with lures on them. I ended up catching 7 paras and the rest rattatas and pidgeys. I'm not kidding, this is getting annoying. I honestly would rather catch nothing then have 50 pidgeys show up.

I did catch another Pikachu right before my office but it took about 10 Ultra balls, 15 Great balls, and about 15 fruit.

I've gotten some decent stuff from lures. Abra's, Geodude's, Clefairy. Usually they are shit magnets for sure but the game would be too easy if they brought rares, I see so many lures.

Exactly. Lures should basically be used to build up stardust and maybe a high CP Poke for evolution.

98 on Pokedex now, within spitting distance of level 26. I need to venture out more because I think I am underperforming Pokedex-wise based on having stayed almost exclusively in one area over the last 6 weeks or so. I will be traveling internationally for a couple of weeks soon which should be interesting.
