Ok, I know some people haven't made their draft choices yet, but I'm going ahead and redoing the draft order for round 5. Round 5 is "players who have won 2 championships with 2 different teams." This is an obscure one, but we do have enough players that fit the criteria. Here is a list to help you.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/blog/?p=9734" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Remember, you cannot pick a player who has already been picked. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar has won multiple championships with 2 different teams, but was picked in the first round, so he's out. Same for Bill Walton, who won with the Blazers and Celtics. He's also out.
***IMPORTANT*** You have choices on which years to choose in this one. From the player you draft, you can choose any year AFTER they have won their championship with their 2nd team. For example, you cannot choose '93 Horace Grant (who won championships with the Bulls), but you could choose 01, 02, 03, or 04 Horace Grant because he won his championship on a 2nd team with the 2001 Lakers.
Another example: You could not choose '95 Robert Horry, but you could choose any year of Robert Horry from 2000 to the end of his career because he won a championship with his 2nd team with the 2000 Lakers.
***ALSO*** If you want to draft a guy who won a championship pre-merger, as long as his championship with the 2nd team is post-merger, that's okay.
If you have any questions about this round, feel free to ask them in a PM. Get ready to draft some bench warmers, guys!

Round 5 draft order is set. You can see it on the first post in this thread.
Round 6 draft order will snake round 5's draft order.

Sorry I was busy.
I don't think Scott Skiles was taken so I'll take him.
Wanted Barros... thanks @l3bron

Is Chamberlain allowed to be picked this next round?

And with my pick I select 1979-80 Jamaal "Silk" Wilkes.

Nice pick dwcmwa. That was my first choice.
I'll take 78 Bob Dandridge.
Figure I'd put it in here now to help out everyone else who is doing research.

I almost surprised everybody with Dana Barros at #2 if McGrady didn't (inexplicably) have a 91 rating on defense. I have 3 guys with 90+ ratings on D now.
Even though Bird and McGrady weren't THAT good on D in real life.
Note: Barros has crazy good shooting efficiency stats in 95. Gotta love that closer 3 point line in a contract year while playing 40+ minutes for a 58 loss team.

14th pick... Again. That is literally a wasted pick this round. Bush, max and I would be better off playing a tired starter than a geriatric Robert parish even one minute.
Re: WhatIfSports Draft, Round 5-two champ teams, dwcmwa's pi
Bad thing is that he's a horrendous defender, I'm hoping Robinson, Dwight and Penny (upper 80's defensive rating lol) is enough to mask his defense. Otherwise I'm going to really regret not going with Paul George instead.AbeVigodaLive wrote:I almost surprised everybody with Dana Barros at #2 if McGrady didn't (inexplicably) have a 91 rating on defense. But yeah, Barros was an insane shooter that year, plus his stats amounted up to a 8 million salary.

Surprised I got George that late.

It's good to have variety. I think having a shooter is really going to help your team. Not everyone has to have excellent defense to succeed.l3bron wrote:Bad thing is that he's a horrendous defender, I'm hoping Robinson, Dwight and Penny (upper 80's defensive rating lol) is enough to mask his defense.
