Gasol and a 1st rd pick isn't enough.
First round picks are the gold emblem now. Teams want the opportunity to pick their own superstars on the cheap. It is like a coupon for future talent. Having said that, I think a first rounder is too much for Love, at least a first this year

Blake Griffin for Kevin Love would be much better than anything the Lakers could offer.
Clearly, that is a realistic trade.
In fact, I think it will happen soon!
If the Clippers fall flat on their face in the playoffs again, they very well may want to shuffle the deck to get over the hump. Love would be an awesome pairing with Paul and would compliment him well. That trade is much more realistic than the Gasol and first rounder you posted seeing as how the salaries don't work and the Lakers aren't eligible to trade their first rounder at this point.
That is definitely a realistic trade. It will probably happen soon.
“People think it's so far-fetched that I would stay in Minnesota,” he says. “And I'm not shitting on the Lakers, but we have the better team, the better foundation. I'm having fun.”
