I have done the research. I consider myself more knowledgeable with basketball than the average fan. An argument can for either player. Hakeem's stats and accolades are CRAZY and I know how good Dream was. In my opinion it is very, VERY close but the nod goes to LeBron by a hair.

On a different note, the 5 BEST NBA basketball players that I have seen a lot of in no order:

Michael Jordan
Kobe Bryant
Lebron James
Hakeem Olajuwon
Kevin Garnett

Those 5 could and did a lot of things very, very well on both ends of the court.

Of course there are more two-way players. I'm just having trouble thinking of more.

That would be a fucking tough starting 5.

Defensively, it wouldn't be a contest. Lol. They're shutting down everything and everybody.

Yeah, voted on by a bunch of posters too young to have seen Dream play...

 :L

I mean, let's be serious... LeBron at #10 is even worse than Kobe at #8. Well, maybe just as bad.

Well I am a Bulls fan and I have no problem with Kobe in the top 10 but everybody has their agenda. I don't think Kobe belongs in the top 6 though. I think that is cemented forever but that is just my opinion. Of course my top 6 is in really no order and my 7-10 range is wide open in which I think LeBron will end up cracking when his career is all said and done.

That's true; however I'd say 90% of posters who voted LeBron over Dream never saw Dream play... at least not the 80's - mid 90's Olajuwon.

I am changing my #10 vote to Dream BECAUSE in my personal ranking I have Dream #9 and Mikan #10. But since Dream is still alive in this poll, he gets #10 (while Big George will be #11).

Lebron is the current so of course it's "easier" to judge him and his game than it is to go back and revisit 25+ years ago....especially those who haven't even hit age 30 yet.
