I would like to announce that after 20 years of boycotting, I am now a Laker fan.

Talk about anything here.

What does this mean?
He hasn't done anything of value in the NBA and hasn't looked impressive to me at all.

Now granted, he is a 19 year old rookie so I'm not bashing him. I'm questioning what have we seen from him to warrant being "huge fans" of his?

You can only be a fan of players or teams with accomplishments? People can have any variety of reasons for being a fan of somebody. Obviously with Laker fans, he's the future, we have no choice but to be a fan of his and root for him. Others who projected him to be a stud in the league, root for him to do well to validate their initial evaluation of him as a prospect. Some people can't stand being wrong, and will sell their souls in this process.

Regarding the OP. He'd be a positive addition to the fanbase, given he doesn't bail on us like Toothpick did if we get a meanie poopy face bully on the team who makes mean faces at his most favoritest player on the team.
