All right Clevey. I've suffered your insults to America without comment, but I'll not have you disparage Texas.

No amount of trash talk is worthy of a death sentence.

Still need all the evidence to come out, so we should all reserve judgment, but it looks pretty bad.

Usually "let's not rush to judgment" and "let's wait until we have all of the information" is really just cop code for "give us some time to come up with an adequate spin on this story."

The guy had a knife. He was possibly in possession of this knife when the shooting took place, or possibly not. He was shirtless. The police officers could see his if there was anything in his waistband. If there was anything there it would have been reported by now.

Could this guy have been a scumbag? Possibly. But the video shows that this guy did not pose an imminent threat to the lives of these officers.

I agree that it looks that way. And I fear the police state. But I would still prefer to adhere to "innocent until proven guilty" for as much longer as we can hold onto it.

The problem is that excess use of force and improper use of force has been a big issue in the US for a very long time now. The reason it has taken this long for society as a whole to take notice is that never in our history have cameras been this prevalent. There needs to be some kind of serious reform here or we may face a serious societal upheaval in the not-so-distant future.

I don't disagree. As the citizenry become more exposed to the fact that the American ideal of government of/by/for the people is in shambles, we become more likely to rise up. It's why I support groups like the Oathkeepers, though I've yet to join them.

I follow a couple of YouTubers who are kind of obscure, but they do a lot of Human Rights "tests." I don't agree with all of their stuff (some of it is just too extreme), but they have made some interesting vids before. One is HonorYourOath and the other is CopBlock. I hadn't heard of the Oathkeepers until now.

The media won't care.
I saw this the other day someone in the comments someone said that they probably didn't mention it much because of his long rap sheet. Some people use people's past record as justification for being shot by the police.

No matter what this is sad and doesn't make it look good for the police again.
