Once the team has gelled (seems pretty close), if I’m a Lakers fan, I am entirely in favor of the Kawhi type load management for LeBron being mocked in the other thread. There is zero reason for him to play more than 30mpg and ~72-75 total games at this point.

FWIW with a small sample size, he has his highest Defensive Box Score +/- since 2008-2009 and highest Defensive Rating since.... ever.

Keep in mind, this is like two or three steps beyond what would normally be a player's prime.

Imagine if he played with talent like this his entire career, like Kobe did.

The "Lebron or Jordan" discussions wouldn't even exist.

I think it's fair that ever superstar at least have 1 additional superstar to shoulder the load. Outside of Lebron and AD this supporting cast will have to overperform becaus collectively they are not very good
