Definitely going with Kobe here.

Fuck you guys. Seriously.
It is still laughable to have Bird over KAJ and Kobe.Shill Jackson wrote: I thought this was the Anger General Greatest post-merger Players of All Time poll.
Not the Who can I pick that isn't a Laker
Seriously.
If he could choose any current player that he'd like to play a season with, who would it be, Bird was asked.
"Well, probably Kobe, because of the fact that ... his desire to win, his dedication, to always get better, uh, and he's just, he's just tough," Bird said. "He's just a tough cat.
..... but if you want to win and win and win, it's Kobe. Not that LeBron's not a winner, just that [Kobe's] mindset is to go into every practice, every game, to get better."

To be fair, using player quotes as your analysis or as proof is so lazy and worthless.
I don't see how Jabbar comes close to Bird POST-merger, but that's based on things like stats, accomplishments, et al. But maybe that's not as important. Hold on... let me find a random quote and use that instead.

If you are going to quote stats, why do you ignore the championships disparity?
If you are going to quote accomplishments, why ignore the East coast bias and the fact that the bulk of East-based sports writers never watched the West much?
It's supposed to be the Greatest post-merger Player, not the stats & accomplishments grabber.
If that was the prime criteria, LeBron would already be ranked.

Yes. Bird won awards only because he was from the East Coast. Got me there.
Probably helped that he was white. Damn, you're good at this.

I think championships are one of many factors when comparing players' legacies.
I'm guessing that Kareem's teammate (#3 on this list) MIGHT have had something to do with Kareem's number of titles post merger. For example, in the 1988 Finals, Kareem shot 41% for 13 ppg and only 4 rebounds. Of course, he gets credit for being a critical part of such a good team. And he did hit those free throws after the questionable (by many) foul call against Laimbeer.
But, is it as simple as 5 > 3 when Kareem was clearly not the guy or 2nd guy or even the 3rd guy by that point?
Re: Re: 2015 Anger General Greatest post-merger Players of All Time #7
I would like to nominate Moses Malone. Someone mentioned him already, but he needs to be on the voting list now, imho. Pretty much all his career is post merger too.

Shill Jackson can really be a blind idiot. You are goofy biased guy and totally out to lunch because of your Lakers bias.
