If I Could Live In ONE Other City, It'd Be.................
Chicago.
Yes, Chicago retains that mid-west feel I crave and a big enough city to handle me. I like the snow which it also provides. I visited Chicago once and I loved it.
Now you?

You wouldn't last 5 minutes in Chicago.

Orlando for me. I've heard some great things.

Congress Theater in Chicago is pretty awesome. I've been to a few concerts there.CleveTown™ wrote:Chicago.

If you avoid the war zone it's a nice city.

I'd live in New York. It's convenient to get from point A to point B in a timely manner without needing a car. Pretty much any walkable city that doesn't seem like a giant suburb would be high on my list.

Interesting topic. When I enventually move back I'm thinking of somewhere other than where I grew up. I don't have any front runners yet, so I'll check in to see what you guys are saying and maybe get some insight to good places.

If you like warm weather and fishing, move to Ft. Myers, or, actually, the better part of Ft. Myers -- Estero, Florida. Great shopping, close to Naples and Marco Island and all down that way, and Alligator Alley to take you over o Ft. Lauderdale, Miami and the Keys, but better than all that is Pine Island Sound where the best fishing in the country is. Hands down. Also right on the door step to Sanibel Island and Ding Darling refuge. Just the best place in Florida.swampgator wrote:Interesting topic. Yeah, familiar with all of that. Not really looking at going back to Florida; parents sold the house and moved up to the mtns in Ga. Good recommendation, though.CleveTown™ wrote:If you like warm weather and fishing, move to Ft. Myers, or, actually, the better part of Ft. Myers -- Estero, Florida. I think that's great. You should just make sure there are some citrus trees nearby.

Neither should be a problem. Plenty of the best BBQ to be had as well. Let me know where you settle on, I'll visit next time I'm back and we can hit all the awesome nightlife spots.AlaskaHawks wrote:Cobra Kai wrote:I'm currently looking at some nice beachfront property in Orlando.
