Summer league about to start up.
Summer league about to start up.
First we have shitty Orlando but then Utah and Vegas after
Re: Summer league about to start up.
Idk why they don't play it in Orlando's stadium so they can get a better camera angle.

Orlando's is the only one that matters, the others are for fans to watch exhibition games basically, in orlando it's closed to the public and most media, it's actually about working players out and seeing if they are keepers or not...elmouse03 wrote:First we have shitty Orlando but then Utah and Vegas after

Link?
The one link I found says that the Las Vegas league is the most important. It has the most teams (24) and is the only one run by the league. 1st round draft picks play in this league, including Karl Towns and Andrew Wiggins in recent years. As well as dozens of players competing for spots on NBA rosters. The Orlando league includes only 10 teams... 2 of which are Orlando teams. Keith Appling was the best player on one of those squads last season. Some players are in both leagues.
Here's the roster of another team in the Orlando summer league:
Darius Adams G 6-1 165 Indianapolis/USA 4/17/89
Brandon Ashley F 6-9 230 Arizona/USA 7/15/94
Vander Blue G 6-4 200 Marquette/USA 7/17/92
Laimonas Chatkevicius C 6-11 245 South Carolina/Lithuania 1/7/93
Jaleel Cousins C 6-11 255 South Florida/USA 12/1/93
Andre Dawkins G 6-4 206 Duke/USA 9/19/91
Tyler Honeycutt F 6-8 190 UCLA/USA 7/15/90
Cory Jefferson F 6-9 218 Baylor/USA 12/26/90
Stevan Jelovac F 6-10 245 Zaragoza/Serbia 7/8/89
Giovan Oniangue F 6-6 222 Paris Levallois/Rep. of Congo 4/22/91
Casey Prather G/F 6-6 208 Florida/USA 5/29/91
Satnam Singh C 7-2 290 IMG Academy (FL)/India 12/10/95
Marquis Teague guy who sucked balls for Chicago
Re: Summer league about to start up.
Bobby Portis should be playing which will be good for the Bulls.
Re: Summer league about to start up.
The Vegas one is the only one that matters. I'm not even sure why they do the others. UNLV's basketball facilities is actually better than Orlando's. It's better than a lot of NBA teams. We have Jerry Tarkanian court and Cox Pavilion which are where the games are played of course. On top of that though we have two underground courts that are accessible through an elevator, the players can get to them without leaving the building and an underground tunnel that leads to the Mendenhall Center where there are an additional two courts. Two strength and conditioning rooms are located there with a full serving restaurant for the players to be able to get drinks/eat if they need to along with a very comfortable lounge. This isn't fan stuff I'm talking about, it's all built for the players. Private and restricted. Where do you think the players would really rather go? Las Vegas is the basketball capital of the world. There are more tournaments and games being played here than any other city on earth.

The magic play at like a third or fourth option court, inside the away center itself and it's not open to the public they have better facilities than most teams actually... Magics real main turf is the rdv sport plex in maitland its all magic actually, and it's 15 minutes north of the away center and a huge state of the art facility where you can watch the players practice and actually get into some good pick up games and great workouts. Not many teams have such a complex for thier players and the paying members to useWishbone wrote:The Vegas one is the only one that matters. I'm not even sure why they do the others. Orlando is considered to be the "best one" by some league people because they think the atmosphere is most conducive to development. I know both SVG and Lawrence Frank had DET play in Orlando because of that. It's certainly less interesting than Vegas though.

It is for fans. Vegas ratings are probably like 3-4 times higher.elartman1973 wrote:This...and being interesting isnt relevent at allScout wrote:Orlando is considered to be the "best one" by some league people because they think the atmosphere is most conducive to development.
