"The reforms outlined above will lower healthcare costs for all Americans" How do we know?

"Providing healthcare to illegal immigrants costs us some $11 billion annually" This sounds great, but we have been hearing this rhetoric for a long time with no action.

" Finally, we need to reform our mental health programs and institutions in this country" reforms attempted by Obama, only to be repealed or poison pills added by Congress.

At the end of the day, Trump has offered nothing all that groundbreaking.
Free market health insurance, aka, ability to purchase health insurance across state lines is groundbreaking. Allowing prescription drugs to be imported, reducing medication cost is groundbreaking as well.
I understand the excitement of a "free market", but I simply don't believe that the major healthcare companies now won't still be in charge. What will the reduced costs do to the level of care? I think there are a lot of variables to consider. Who is in control? The FEDERAL government?

Say what you want about Obamacare, and it isn't perfect, but, the first goal was to make coverage more available to everyone, and in that regard it has succeeded. I am not sure if the AHA is the answer, but it hasn't been nearly as bad as predicted.

Forcing people to purchase health insurance is not a "win".

As for free markets and how they work, I'll let you do your own research.

Many presidents and Americans have sought this. It's a big bullshit bureaucracy when dealing with pharmaceutical companies. Has been for decades. What plan is Trump going to implement that breaks this stranglehold?

I guess it depends on who you ask. One big reason for rising healthcare costs is the uninsured.

I would love to read your source material where the pharmaceutical companies have prevented importing prescription drugs from foreign countries. You sure the restriction has nothing to do with government agencies?

Have health care costs gone down since the implementation of the ACA and forcing people to purchase health insurance?

Oh no, that's the FDA. The insane price gouging is the issue with our pharmaceutical companies. Within that lies a connection(s) as to why reform on this issue has been so sluggish over the years.

Allowing foreign medication to compete with domestic pharmaceutical companies will lower the cost. I also believe a review of patent laws is needed. I understand most are motivated by money and the cost to create these pills is massive. If you are unable to get an ROI on your R&D, you fold up your business. With this, you want to retain some rights to your work, but there is a better way. Perhaps the patent is good for 5 years for example, and then other drug companies can manufacture the pill and you get 30% royalty for the next 10 years, and the royalty decreases after that.

maybe so-but perhaps you aren't aware that Trump is very liberal in many ways
he is for planned parenthood/has said he endorses most abortions and /would increase taxes at higher rate then even Hillary is suggesting/etc etc.

He has said he endorses most abortions?? Lifetime avatar bet that you can't prove that.

Trump's tax plan calls for lower taxes than any other candidate by far.

As far as Planned Parenthood is concerned, I'm pro-life,” Trump asserted on the debate stage at the University of Houston.

So he said he is pro life? That is how far starters you plan on proving that he ENDORSES (?) most abortions?

Trump clarified his views on abortion, saying he favors abortion rights, but respects those who oppose his position. “I believe it is a personal decision that should be left to the women and their doctors,” he said.

favoring abortion rights would obviously mean that he has no problem with when and how women get abortions--is that too hard for you to absorb?
