To my fellow black Anger General posters: why do we continue to support the Democratic party?

Prior to those reasons we had Bush Jr. with Chaney as choices. Give us real choices and we'll chose them.
As soon as one other Republican admits that Reagan was the Anti-Christ; they'll have my vote, probably
Funny, but I consider Reagan and Clinton as the two greatest Presidents of my lifetime. Obviously for vastly different reasons. The American psyche might have been at its lowest point historically following four years of the intelligent but hopelessly ineffective Jimmy Carter. While I believe many of Reagan's policies were misguided, he made America feel good about itself and its place in the world.
Carter was and is a great guy. He just happened to face so many issues that he could really control on top of being a bit unpopular due to his southern roots.
I lived through it. I just think he was a micro manager that had difficulty deciding anything. We can debate that forever, but American morale was at a trough when he left office.

America didn't need a cheerleader, she needed a leader and not a war criminal. If anyone should have been impeached, it was he.

We will agree to disagree. It's a pointless debate.

I will agree that impeaching Clinton was ridiculous in my mind. That was just politics, which, sadly permeates almost everything important.

Why stay loyal to a party that has done absolutely nothing for you ever, other than pander to black every 4 years come election time.

So it's all good as long as they give free handouts and a token black president? :L

The GOP is only concerned with wealthy white men.
They've fought every bit of progress, and slung vindictive, racist drivel every chance they can.
It is complete fantasy to claim that Dems haven't done anything for you ever.
It just isn't true a Reek. The GOP are the Boltons.

Thanks to the IT boom, not because of Clinton.
Completely false. The IT boom started during the out of touch Bush administration, who did nothing to support it.

The Republican Party recruited most of the racist Dixiecrats away from the Dems. Had they stayed fiscally conservative and not went pro white nationalist socially conservative maybe more black folks would be there still. Back in the 50's there were a lot more black republicans. You guys have no clue what it was like for a black person in the South during the civil rights era so you blow it off as something blacks should get over. News flash: not happening. My mom was one of the first black students at her school and had to deal with some really horrible shit. Now you expect her or her kids to vote for a party that embraced the bad guys? Fuck outta here.

So ****** never heard of the concept of voting independently? That's what the Asians do.

But why do that when you can just stay on the Democratic plantation?

This post is further proof that democrats vote based off emotions and selfishness, whereas republicans side ideologically off of logic and the prosperity of our country despite its confliction with you individually.

If you only love yourself, vote dem. If you love your country, vote republican. It's that simple, no retort would ever convince me otherwise, so don't even try.

The genuinely indifferent do not verbally project their indifference. But given your emotional state (as a democrat), I can't say it wasn't expected.

ultimately all americans love democrats because democrats promise and deliver on sexual liberation. its the left wing which overturned anti porn laws and overturned all laws which condemned public indecencies. the left did this under the first amendment.
