Some of the defenses I've seen for the movie have been ridiculous...

"But it's such a progressive installment unlike the original! It's about time women and minorities headlined blockbusters!"

My criticism of this movie front and center. More thought into what the movie says in a social context, than the actual plot or characters. You don't get points for copy pasting the same plot from the same series. If it were any other series, it'd be a decent movie.... But because it has the words STAR WARS in its title... how it relates to the previous installments matter. It's like the same comedian using the same jokes every year to the same crowd... Sure you might have changed the names or gender of the joke, but it's still the same joke. Stale comedians are terrible.

If only someone thought of the poor white males who are the villains 99.99% of the time in films

Oh the indecency! The injustice!

Madnessssss wrote:Looks like it's gonna fall way short of avatar at the global box office. Avatar is the new Star Wars. It's simply hated in the US because of its pro-nature "Mother Earth" themes. Globally it craps all over Star Wars. 6 years older with better effects, better action, better art design, more adventure and was more ambitious.

The Feminist Awakens is the future of Hollyweird. Wimmins and minorities (and maybe a few gays) saving the day from the evil white man!

Soon it will be Pedophilia in the film environment. These freaks. Absolute abominations to the ancient humans of yesteryear. An embarrassment. The blood sweat and tears of billions, so for this? This is HERESY.

The Force Awakens is a rehash of A New Hope with added diversity and worse villains.

The same exact bs was done with the Star Trek films.

Wasn't "...Into Darkness" a mix of "The Wrath Of Khan" and "The Voyage Home"? :L

It was vastly different from either movie. Khan was simply a common character.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

It was pretty much a copy and paste except that it had a mary sue girl and a black guy who's character made no sense. Saying it's pro-black is hilarious. I think after the hype wears down it will get realized.

Of course he can.. Because it was a ripoff. Its a rehash of Episode IV/V into one movie. Except with the liberal Susan B. Anthony's women's rightst movement tone to it

A lot of people feel the need to over think things.

Relax and just enjoy the movie.

And the only decent white male character gets killed off.

It is somewhat obvious.

Although Avatar was anti American.
