Saw Star Wars - I'd give it between a 6.5 - 7 out of 10

Post by LoneGranger »

Before The Movie

Already wanting to strangle the douchbags and kids surrounding me. But im excited still. As im writing this I hear either some white trash woman sitting down behind me or someone mentally challenged. Kill me.

I hate busy movie theaters.

I hope this lives up to the hype. I want to see some cool creatures in this too.

After The Movie

In short, the movie didn't live up to the hype for me. I can't be the only one that thinks this.

I'd give it anywhere between a 6.5 - 7 out of 10.

He must think he's watching avatar which had cool, creative creatures, unlike Star Wars with cartoony puppet kiddy creatures
I don't know what he's thinking but he sounds like some kind of psycho.

Enjoy the movie. I was mildly disappointed with two of the characters but still enjoyed the movie a great deal.

not sure what you're on about

Who goes into a Star Wars movie saying "I want to see some cool creatures in this movie" ? Maybe a six year old? He sounds psychotic.

I would give it less than a 6.5-7 honestly. Btw, did you see any cool creatures?

While I think there is a tendency since the prequels came out to bash non-classic Star Wars, I definitely think this one was a positive addition to the series.

Not a grand slam home run by any means, but maybe a frozen rope up the middle :P

I don't know. I'd have to see it again to see if I felt any different. I was only on the edge of my seat (barely, too) maybe 3 times. All 3 times involved the TIE fighters vs the X-wings. Wished I had seen The Hateful Eight or even Spectre on the IMAX.

Oh and I don't care that it wasn't classic Star Wars. That's fine. Even welcomed by me. But what it did, I don't think (at first glance) it did very well.

I was mildly disappointed by the movie...mostly because I think I had it WAY overhyped in my mind. It was predictable, and it was
Spoiler:
a clone of Episode IV
, but it had nice throwbacks and tie-ins to the original trilogy, and it left a solid cliffhanger at the end to get us curious about Episode VIII.

A rating of 7/10 would be fine for me. It was good, but not great. The action scenes were solid.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

I pretty much agree with that.

Indeed, definitely not a pro-black movie.

But it was definitely pro-wimminz.

Mary Sue having magical abilities in basically everything and absurd ease of use in the force (even compared to Luke when he was first learning) was pretty lame. The idea of wimminz being able to do things easily with little effort compared to their male counterparts is actually pretty destructive to both genders, IMO.

Three creatures attacking a ship - that definitely happened. Sounds like you have a strong grasp of what went on in the film.
