OMG, my neighbors across the street house is on fire....
But, thank god the family is out and no one was injured....The firefighters seems to have it under control and the house is still standing...By the looks of things, it's looking like the majority of the damage is to their detached garage and the back of their house....I've offered them my spare bedroom if they need it....

That's awful. Glad no one is hurt.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Kneejerk instincts...snap pics, or log onto anonymous message board and type out what's happening? Seems like this can also double as an Artman thread.Robceltsfan wrote:No pictures???

Re: OMG, my neighbors across the street house is on fire....
True story.
I was in Puerto Rico and I was home for lunch. I was with a roommate and we heard screaming outside in the street. We ran out and the 2nd story of a house across the street was on fire. I quickly grabbed a hose and ran across the street. The neighbor's house was really close to the house that was on fire so my original plan was to hook up the hose to the neighbor and try and prevent the neighbor's house from catching fire. The neighbors had a balcony that looked straight into the 2nd story of the house that was on fire. I got up on that balcony with the hose and started watering everything down and also spraying the hose into the burning house (which did nothing. that was like spitting on a camp fire). When the fire department finally showed up, I thought for sure they'd kick me out so they could do their job but instead, they threw me up their big fire hose and asked me if I could spray it into the house. Now that was fun. My roommate and I had to hold that thing to control it and we stayed until the fire was out. Pretty crazy day.

I don't understand when posters tell a crazy story, obviously with the purpose of discussing it more in-depth... then omit key details that could help them do it.
Poster #1: "Hey look at this!"
Poster #2: "What is it?"
Poster #1: "None of your business."
