I've never had a maid before. It's cheap to have one here, but I always justified not having one by thinking it was easy to clean by myself. I've decided I don't want to clean anymore. $16 a week for 4 hours seems fair.

Nah, having a cleaning lady is totally the way to go, save time doing stuff with family.

I still have to clean though. Maybe I should have her over more often.

I haven't done the maid thing in a few years but it was well worth it. We used to have a maid come just once a month, I think it was $80 or $100 for about 4 hours but that's when I was living in a 2900 sq ft 4 bathroom house. It was great to have a maid if you were hosting a party or family gathering. Great time saver and just something else you don't have to worry about when you are preparing to cook, etc. Plus they can get things spotless that I just can't.

I know women do this shit all the time...but does your wife do a little pre-cleaning before the maid comes?
