He doesn't want to face Lebron before the Finals, though. Lebron in rounds 1-3 is pretty much unbeatable at this point, but Lebron in the Finals is an easier battle. And yeah I know, the Warriors and Spurs aren't a cakewalk, but I think KD and whatever players the Lakers put around him can compete.

Durant isn't going to a worse team. Lakers have nothing he wants, that roster isn't any good and not a contender with durant.

Lebron owns the East until he retires, that's a fact. He may not win a single title in Cleveland, but he'll probably get there every season until he's done playing. His team is stacked and he still has a lot of game left.
