To be fair, there were only 18 seconds left on the shot clock.

[Note: LA and Philly tanking extremes are teaching a lot of very young, rich and entitled players some very bad lessons.]

I dunno what's more amusing, him jacking up a 27 footer, or the Philly defender trying to contest the shot.

If you look closer, you'll notice Kobe Bryant was quadrupled teamed on that play. Again.

It was on line, just a tad short.

And the Lakers were down by 3. Gotta go for the tie with 4 minutes to go in the 1st

If Kobe randomly jacking up a bad shot means "Fuck it, I'm retiring"........then Kobe has retired a few hundred times in the past 2 decades.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

But really Abe brings up a good point. It seems like Kobe's interests are to have as much fun this year on his last hurrah and jacking up 15-20 shots a game. But the Lakers are full of young players who could use the year as instrumental to their development. As a Lakers fan, I'm not sure I'd want Kobe to be using this year as a "zero fucks given year, and I'm going to make sure I eat" while sacrificing the growth of Randle, Russell, etc...

Well, we need to be really really bad to keep that lotto pick. So, in a way, it's good to be worse.

Yeah, because that methodology has worked so well for the Sixers.

Well. This year is really Ben Simmons or bust.

And the Lakers will have tons of money to go after FA's this offseason. It could be a pretty different roster aside from Randle, Russell, Clarkson.

Plus, we could point to the Spurs tanking for Duncan. Worked out alright for them.
