Jimmer's first D League Game was last night.
Dropped a quiet 37 points, 8 assists and 4 rebounds on 12/17 shooting. I'll be keeping you all updated as the season progresses.

I don't understand how a guy like him, with almost unlimited offensive talent and shooting range to boot.....doesn't have a place coming off the bench in the NBA. It boggles my mind.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Here's the difference. It's all about confidence with Jimmer. I watched many BYU games with Jimmer where he would start off shooting 1-8 or 2-7 and not look great. His coach would keep him in and suddenly it would click and he'd explode for 30 points. In every NBA game I've watched of his, if he missed a shot, you could tell he was terrified of messing up again and getting benched. With the Kings, he was benched immediately if he wasn't making a direct impact in his limited time. That simply killed his confidence. In that highlight video I posted from his D-League game last night, you can see he just doesn't give an eff and look what that does to his game. He's playing how he wants and the shots are falling. As the game goes on and his confidence rises, he becomes the Jimmer of old and hits those long threes off the screen.Robceltsfan wrote:I don't understand how a guy like him, with almost unlimited offensive talent and shooting range to boot.....doesn't have a place coming off the bench in the NBA. It's fun watching that Jimmer play. I hope he stays in the D-League the rest of this year and builds all kinds of confidence. This could be a good thing.

I'd much prefer him over Stauskas on the 76ers to be honest.Kingcarl24 wrote:Here's the difference. It's all about confidence with Jimmer. Is Phil Pressey a better NBA option than Jimmer Fredette?
Re: Jimmer's first D League Game was last night.
I like the Kings drafted Jimmer, treated him a specific way that didn't pan out, and then cut bait...AbeVigodaLive wrote:PhutureDynasty wrote:I'd much prefer him over Stauskas on the 76ers to be honest.Kingcarl24 wrote:

...only to use a similar pick on a guy who a very similar prospect, treat him in the same specific way, and then have things not work out again.
It's no secret that I wasn't a fan of Jimmer or Stauskas as prospects, What was Sac thinking? The same thing they were thinking when they thought Rondo, Cousins, and Gay would be a winning mix?

Worst ownership/management group in the NBA right now. And I don't think it's close.
Let's not forget that the Kings also drafted McLemore who is also struggling to see consistent playing time...

To be honest I have no idea. I just think they team needs a 3 ball guard.AbeVigodaLive wrote:PhutureDynasty wrote:I'd much prefer him over Stauskas on the 76ers to be honest.Kingcarl24 wrote:

Maybe they should bring back Aaron Brooks?

Although, to be fair McLemore also struggles to play basketball, and that draft class as a whole might struggle historically to NOT go down as the worst in NBA history. In short, in Sac's defense it's not like he is any good or that they passed on somebody obviously better to draft him.

Kings also had Whiteside.

Apparently Floyd Mayweather was Jimmer's inspiration for his first D League game.
