Friend does some engineering work with the Navy and spends weeks off the Pacific coast underwater. Tight quarters in there too, so you really have to get along with your peers.

I was in the Air Force, worked on the Minuteman III and Peacekeeper weapon systems, which are (were) land based ICBMs. Submarine launched ballistic missiles like the Trident II are typically referred to as SLBMs.

I've never been in a submarine. I have been inside NORAD headquarters when it was inside Cheyenne Mountain. That was kind of cool. Not really much like it's depicted in War Games though.
