you're 60 years old unmarried godless and childless. You're gonna die in your apartment and no one is going to know for 4 weeks until your rent is due.

You need to change.

You're right. You're not alone. You have the owner of your guest house living a few yards away from you.

Fair enough. Still tired though after Thanksgiving dinner so something knocks me out.

I'm with you Phuture. I understand that there's no more tryptophan in turkey than any other meat, but for some reason I'm always down for the count for a bit after Thanksgiving dinner. I know the argument is that it's more food than you're used to eating, but I'm a distance runner and I eat a LOT all the time.
Maybe Arty's right and it's the wine. All I know is I was KTFO for a good portion of the first half of the Carolina/Dallas game.

Exactly. I only have one plate of food too with mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, carrots, and a dinner roll.

Within 30 minutes I was asleep on the couch haha.

We extend our natural/customary appetite for the Thanksgiving feast, which contributes to that feeling of being fatigued and sleepy.

Well, I had a fight with my sis last night. I chose not to go eat a fucking turkey with her snot nosed little bitches for daughters. My roast beef was tender and excellent. Gravy was. I ate to much of it.

They are having some serious issues in that household. Best place for me, was to stay at home. Talked to sis about 8 pm tonight.

last year I was in a brutal war with my dad and didn't go to thanksgiving dinner.
Remember some of that...some just CAN'T be resolved quickly/easily, yours was majorly complicated....and it was likely best you avoided....IIRC you have pretty much squashed that as best as possible since....No...?

Yeah, it's basically squashed. There were no apologies from either side, and I still resent that he made that whole situation such a dramatic war, but we basically just act like it never happened now and everything is all good.

Yea man..."best as possible"....you were put in a no win situation, no other way to look at it...total BS, glad you have been the bigger man for the sake of the rest of your family....even though I realize just how fuckin hard it was/likely still is at times.
