What format are you seeing The Force Awakens in and at what date/time?

Post by kobeunderbite »

Given that anyone who isn't a faggot already has their tickets, I figured it would be fun to discuss.

I will be seeing the film in IMAX 3D on Wednesday, Dec 16th at 5PM EST. By my calculation I will be in the top 1% in terms of people who will see it earliest. I wanted standard IMAX without 3D but it wasn't available.

What about you fellas?

Not in the country I will be in unfortunately. I think under 25 theaters worldwide will carry it.

BluRay? What the fuck are you talking about? Once again, you are completely clueless.

I want to see the movie, but I have no desire to see it when it first opens. Too many people, I'd rather be able to relax.

I haven't owned a blu ray in my life. You're so clueless and you try to act like you're not, it's honestly pathetic.

I have no desire to watch movies in 3D. I've seen a couple and it wasn't worth the extra money to me. It felt like more of a distraction rather than an addition.

I'm not sure what day I'm seeing it yet. One of my best friends is coming into town the week of Christmas, so I'll see it with him and a few other friends. Should be easier to get good tickets by then. May see it in IMAX if our local IMAX theater is showing it in 2D.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

I've never really preferred 3D myself, with a couple of exceptions, but the benefits of IMAX hugely outweigh any negatives of 3D, imo. The seating alone is hugely beneficial assuming you're seeing it in a proper IMAX theater. And it's likely with a movie this massive they did the 3D properly.

Btw based on your state I am guessing you will not have such a showing.
