The Celtics.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Red must be watching to see if Phil can actually build a team rather than inherit one.

Some posters think Phil can wave a magical wand and just build a championship team out of thin air.

When's the last time the Knicks were considered "elite"?

Again, some people think Phil is a magician.
Do you think if they could resurrect Sam Walton and make him CEO he could make KMart/Sears elite again?

I think the lakers mystique left with D Howard. Top prime of career FA talent isn't supposed to leave that town. Yet it did.

Nah. Most people understand Dwight Howard isn't your typical prime of career FA. As influential of a player as he is, he doesn't have the alpha personality necessary to accept the responsibilities of playing in a market that demands greatness from their great players, and the accountability that comes with its shortcomings. Plus, most people also understand that with the regime change at the top, and a coach implementing a system that goes away from what this particular FA hinges his success on, that the Dwight and Lakers pairing was never going to work out without one side giving into each other's personnel demands.Ali Natural wrote:I think the lakers mystique left with D Howard. The Lakers will be back shortly. 5 decades of sustainability is not wiped out because of one star who most past NBA greats don't respect in the first place chose the path of lesser resistance with less visibility.

This. The Knicks were last "elite" when most of our grandfathers were dancing at their proms.paskeezy3000 wrote:well seeing how the Knicks havent been relevant since the early '70's, i'll take the Lakers.
