Mchale was only the 2nd dog for one of those rings in 86, 6th man in 84, was he even a 6th man yet in 81?

Based on minutes played he was 6th, 5th and 2nd those 3 years. In the '86 playoffs he averaged 25/9 and 26/9 and 2.5 BPG during the Finals on 57%.
That ring and contribution is more valuable than any Finals performance by anyone else on the current list of candidates.
