Why is the concept of God so hard to believe?

Post by CleveTown™ »

When you look up at night and see all of the stars, or when you look up during the day and see that blazing sun, do you REALLY, HONESTLY believe it just popped up out of nowhere? Stop with you willful ignorance. It's pathetic.

It's not that they can't believe it's that they wouldn't believe. It's an ethical problem

God’s Wrath Against Sinful Humanity

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

The concept of believing or not believing isn't hard to believe. It comes down to the individual.

the concept is possible, but the empirical evidence doesn't support it and must therefore be rejected.

point to one thing that has appeared out of thin air without having a creator behind it. No evidence whatsoever, but there is verifiable PROOF that things DO need to be created in order to exist.

atheism is a lack of belief in a magic creator, it has nothing to do with matter.
who created your god?

incorrect.

first off there is no one belief atheists hold.

secondly, a typical atheist with a brain allows for science to give us the best answer available thus far.

you are in quest to learn the mind of God and how He created space time and matter. Good luck with that.

who created your god?
Nobody created God, He always was. Had a "God" created this present day God, then the cycle would have to go on for an eternity in the past.

Either way, eternity exists. It did not start with the Big Bang.

There is, was and only will be ONE God. He exists outside of space time, in a dimension we know nothing about. He is eternal. He is who I am PROUD to worship.

Wisdom with man is foolishness to GOD.
