Anyone arguing to the contrary given the context simply has no clue what they are talking about. He then played in the Arizona fall league, against the top prospects from each organization and his #'s were significantly better with just the miniscule experience he gained in AA.
Then why did he quit baseball? < I know my answer>

MJ refused to cross the MLB picket line. Reason being he was a player rep in the NBA.

Jordan knew he was a total joke and a manufactured FRAUD of a basketball player so he tried to prove to himself he was good enough for baseball. The pure reality is he was flat out terrible at it. It's amazing people still worship this overrated scumbag of a person.

Would you waste a minor spot for a player that put up those numbers without experience in Double A?

It's a big, big jump from 20ppg (usually as the second guy) to 28+ ppg on great percentages as the first guy.

Nonsense...

Pippen is widely regarded as one of / arguably THE greatest perimeter Defender ever... Lebron isn't close to that distinction. Why? Because Scottie's Defense had legit game and series changing impact. CaseS in point: 91 Finals with his ability to check Magic the entire length of the floor a) took "Showtime" away from LA's Offense and b) enabled Jordan to conserve valuable energy on the Defensive end, so he could drop 31-PPG on 56% on the Offensive end. In the 97 Finals his ability to roam / help (basically guard every position on the floor at one time or another during the series) allowed the Bulls to completely dismantle Utah's famed pick and role, and in the 98 ECF his lock-down Defense on Pacers PG Mark Jackson took Indiana completely out of their game-plan. Quite simply, the Bulls don't win those series withOut Scottie's Defense... and let's not forget he dominated Defensively even withOut Jordan and Grant as teammates (in 95 he tied for the NBA lead in both Defensive Rating and Defensive WS - unprecedented for a perimeter / wing player).

These are only a few examples, just off the top of my head, where Scottie's Defense (alone) was every bit "as valuable" as MJ's Offense... and LeBron has never come even remotely close to the level of Defensive dominance Scottie displayed. Sure James' D could impact the game in here-or-there spurts, but Pip's D literally had a game / series changing impact.

As for the Offense, Pippen scored 22 a game as lead-dog (without MJ, in 94 and 95)... and you can realistically add at least another couple/few more PPG on FTA alone if he played today. So suddenly your 8-point Scoring advantage for James becomes more like 3-4-5.

Like it or not this comparison is MUCH closer than people think, when put in perspective and not simply looking blindly at the stats.

It's sad when people live vicariously through athletes and find their self-worth tied to the ranking of an athlete.

That's all I'll say. You all can figure it out.

Equally sad is when people attempt to pass their opinion off as fact, then deflect from the issue when challenged.

That's all I'll say. You all can figure it out.

Something not being a fact doesn't equate to all opinions being equally valid or well-reasoned.

Pippen and Lebron are not close in overall value. Lebron is clearly on a different tier. Literally every single piece of evidence converges on that idea. Raw statistics, advanced analytics, the eye test (when sober), hardware, expert ranking, etc...

Pippen was a Superior version of LeBronze WITHOUT the Ref bias, without the push-off, and by far the much better defender.

Not to mention he played in the richest era of NBA history the Mid-80's and 90's.

JUst for shits. Pippen averaged a whopping 8 points per game off the bench during the 87-88 season. Started zero games. I guess you also think the reason LeBron won 21 more games in 2009 was because of LeBron, without LeBron's number going down slightly? Carry on.

either he was suspended, or he's a quitter.
Take your pick.
If you say he quit basketball, you admit he was mentally weak and wasn't the GOAT.
