It's not idle speculation that Pippen was a significantly worse scorer than Lebron.

It's confirmed by literally every piece of evidence that we have.

Yea nothing to suggest he wasn't other than their stats which are worlds apart.

27.3/7.1/6.9/49.6%/34.2%

vs

16.1/6.4/5.2/47.3%/32.6%

But yea other than those massive statistical differences and leading multiple teams to Finals and Championships, they are exactly the same.

Pippen would be Kahwi Leonard at best in today's NBA......and that's not a bad thing at all.

You can't "confirm" with 100 percent accuracy that the Sun will come up tomorrow. But there is a metric ton of evidence to suggest it will, and none that suggests it won't.

Same thing here. One side of the argument has literally every piece of evidence pointed in their direction.

It's a big, big jump from 20ppg (usually as the second guy) to 28+ ppg on great percentages as the first guy.
I disagree. Pippen had to play second fiddle to the greatest players since Russell and so his numbers suffered. (He was outside his prime when he went to Portland etc)

Pippen was 34 when he went to Portland, and played in all 82 games with a pedestrian 12/6/4 (lol). Being relatively healthy enough to play every game, at an age where when Kobe at 34 was making All NBA 1st Team averaging 27/6/6 and clutching up on free throws with an amputated heel tendon, the "out of his prime" excuse holds no water with me if we're gauging his level of greatness (or making excuses for his mediocrity).

Kobe at 21 years old, not anywhere near his prime yet himself, schooled Pippen in the 2000 WCFs like a little bitch to the point Pippen's coach had to take the Pippen's single coverage off Kobe and instead threw the Bonzi Wells/Steve Smith combo at him lol. And some people here actually want to say with a straight face that Pippen would be a star in "today's NBA" or that he's anywhere near a Kobe or Lebron level?

DaFuqOuttaHere with that amateur bullshit

Pippen was in his absolute prime at the age of 28 and 29 for the 1.75 seasons MJ went to go fail at baseball. He averaged 22.0/8.7/5.6 and 21.4/8.1/5.2 for those two years. Not exactly Lebron numbers there....or even close.

This thread is all over the place

From what I gathered here is that Pippen>Jordan=Kobe>Lebron<D Russell is the general consensus

Is that about right?

Lebron is on a different tier than Pippen, and obviously so.

That's really all that needs to be said, and most of the non-alcoholics here get that.

Name a player that could replace MJ (without Pippen) and make that team a winner?

I really hope he gets a grip on whatever narcotic is fueling his level of anger. I mean its one thing to get trolled, it happens to the best of us occasionally. But to get trolled on a daily basis and have the temper tantrums he has to go with them, is absolutely unhealthy. And, I worry. I do. Get well soon, DeezNa.

I don't understand how a guy who basically came off the street and hit .202 with 3 HRs, 51 RBIs and 30 stolen bases.

There are guys who don't do that in the MLB and definitely not in the minors.

LOL@ fail in baseball, many players wish they had stats like that especially with no real experience on the pro level. Haterz!!!

No player wishes they had stats like that.

Maybe you or me but I'd assure you no player is up at night right before he goes to sleep saying man I wish I could hit .200 3 HRs and 51 RBIs in double A.

With no experience? There are guys who played in Double A with way more experience who wish they had those type of numbers>

Some guys in the majors won't get numbers like that. Are you this ignorant about baseball or are just trolling? :L

Hitting .202 is fully acceptable.........if you're popping off 40 HRs a year. Jordan was really bad. Batting .202 in Double-A is nothing to write home about.
