Might have found my new favorite show.
Is anybody else watching Mr. Robot?
I've never watched a show on USA before. Most of them seem pretty cheesy. I heard some things about this show and I saw that the premier was replaying so I recorded it. Oh wow. The show is pretty amazing. It has a real Fight Club feel to it. It's about a kid that works as at a computer security company by day and a hacker by night. He hates people in general so he hacks those he finds disgusting and turns them in.
He's approached by another hacker to help take down some company big wigs and has to decide if he wants to or not. My description doesn't do it justice at all. The show's premier was pretty awesome.

Might check it out.
Also interested in Humans on AMC.
[Note: By the way, I finished Daredevil recently. While I dug the show overall... a few things really really bugged me about it. But I thought it handled the action stuff awesome. That's not usually my thing, but I thought it was done well. It was the character stuff that fell flat for me. Will still be watching Season 2 though.]

Was it Foggy? We all agreed that Foggy kind of sucked.AbeVigodaLive wrote:Might check it out.

As far as DD Season 2. With DeKnight (show runner) gone I think there will be inevitable story quality drop-off as I do not think they will be able to find someone as good. Also I'm not a big fan of the alleged 'DD v Punisher' season-long arc. Daredevil is supposed to be the hero but I think most of the audience would side with the vigilante that does kill.
Kingpin was a complex villain but he was still a villain, it was a dynamic that worked.

Foggy was part of the problem.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
It was the entire Matt/Foggy/Karen triangle thing they had. The dialogue was so misplaced. Whether it was Karen talking to Matt or Foggy to Matt or Matt to Karen or whatever... it was like some strange incestuous love triangle.
"The way it used to be... just the three of us. Can we get back there, move forward."
The homoerotic angle between the two guys was one thing... but then when you have some random mysterious chick who just happened to show up and start "working" with them saying it, it stood out maybe even more. She knew them for what... 4 months? 4 weeks? One year? Get some other friends people. Branch out. You'll all be healthier with other people in your lives.

I enjoyed the premier and hope that it stays strong. Unfortunately, I've noticed that shows on USA start out strong and end up being pretty week fairly quickly. I'm hoping this is one of the exceptions.Kingcarl24 wrote:Is anybody else watching Mr. Robot?

It does have a Fight Club feel to it, and I suspect

Yes.
Now Karl, tell me you didn't find the dialog as the season in Daredevil continued to get more and more awkward?

I didn't notice it bugging me as much as it bugged you. The foggy and Matt episode is a complete throw away. Foggy' reaction to finding out about Matt was really stupid.AbeVigodaLive wrote:Kingcarl24 wrote:Is that the one where they spell humans with the A upside down?Shill Jackson wrote: Yep, I'm curious, did anybody watch, and if so, how was it?
