Eh...the only thing they have in common is the flopping.LakersNeedShaq wrote:Prime Manu - James Harden
And I still think Manu's flopping is the worst in league history.

But yeah, they are pretty different. Manu more skilled but never got the minutes. Could have been a franchise player imo. Incredible passer, great 3 point shooter, aggressive going to the rim.

Combo guards adept at drawing fouls who like to shoot step-backs and are outstanding at using their strong top hand when snaking into the lane (similar to Wade)?
Ginobili is easily a great comparison-- saying Harden is a better version is perfectly ok, as well.
In my opinion, you can find a lot of similarities between the two of them and Wade.

Please...Price can't hold a candle to Curry.dwcmwa wrote:Mark Price, Stephen Curry

Mark Price also never lead the league in 3 point FG's, and never even averaged more than 20 PPG in a season, not even in the era of more scoring.

I agree with the comparison, but I disagree that Harden is a better version. Ginobili is an easy first-ballot HOFer. Harden, not even close at this point.rtiff68 wrote:They have a lot more in common than that.Ghostown42 wrote:Eh...the only thing they have in common is the flopping.LakersNeedShaq wrote:Prime Manu - James Harden

Jon Konkak to whoever the Kentucky center was.

Two things about Ginobili that are equally true (in my opinion), in this regard:americaninfidel wrote:I agree with the comparison, but I disagree that Harden is a better version. 1) His numbers were held down to a certain extent by his system/role.
2) His HOF status has everything to do with his heritage (best South American NBA player ever) and the team he ultimately landed on (SA with Duncan). Simply assuming that he could be an MVP candidate as the clear cut best player on a team...that's a bit presumptuous, in my opinion.

Please...he would've been no better than Brandon Jennings if he was the leader of a team.rtiff68 wrote:Two things about Ginobili that are equally true (in my opinion), in this regard:americaninfidel wrote:I agree with the comparison, but I disagree that Harden is a better version. Prime Ginobili most certainly could've been everything Harden is and more. And I think his HOF status is cemented by his international resume, with his four NBA championship rings guaranteeing it.rtiff68 wrote:Two things about Ginobili that are equally true (in my opinion), in this regard:americaninfidel wrote:I agree with the comparison, but I disagree that Harden is a better version. The comparison is legit, but Harden is the copy; Ginobili was the original.

Assuming an MVP caliber performance with an expanded role is a massive leap of logic to take, man.americaninfidel wrote:Prime Ginobili most certainly could've been everything Harden is and more. It's like saying McHale would've been Tim Duncan had he been a centerpiece as opposed to a 6th man for large parts of his career. Great player, great resume, but that's a massive assumption to make.
