How are you so confident the Warriors won't revert to the same shitting-the-bed habits again for Game 5 and 6?
PoLIEtics is for gay fags.

Jordan was a perfect 6-0 record in the finals when it mattered most on the big stage. That offsets that

The Cavs are getting worn down. This last game was a MUST WIN for them IMO to go up 3-1 to have any chance at the 'ship. And Curry/Thompson have yet to have a break out game but its coming to seal the deal.
.... Unless the LeRefs go crazy the last few games of course

It is a nice record, but realistically lebrons team has not been the favorite in most of the matchups and the ones he has they have wonDorianRo wrote:Thedictator wrote:Did jordone getting swept in the 1st round every year affect his?

no, losing in the finals doesn't hurt a players legacy.

People who bash Lebron at this point are losers. It's sad that your hate prevents you from seeing a good basketball player.

Honestly if he played well in all his Finals, no it really wouldn't be an issue.
However, he has 2 massive choke jobs for 2 entire Finals Series.
His game 4 was pretty bad Thursday as well.
Making 6 Finals sounds really good on paper. But context, as always is important. When you consider how laughably pathetic the East has been the past decade, it really takes some of the impressiveness out of it all. The fact remains that LeBron led teams are 2-3 in the Finals, possibly 2-4. What does that tell you? He wouldn't likely have even made 6 Finals had he played in the West. Context people.

It all depends on how He performs. If he puts up an MVP performance and loses, then it's not on him. If he chokes these next couple games, then Yes. He should rightfully get bashed.
His performance matters more than win/lose with all his players hurt.
Let's see what happens.

No one at all gave them a chance to win this series before it started. And then Kyrie went down. They've already won 2 games. Can't see how it can possibly hurt his legacy. He basically gets a free pass for 2007 and for this one.

Jerry West was as good an individual player as we've ever seen (ESPECIALLY in the Finals... and he played in nine -9- of them), but he's never mentioned as a Top 10 player of all-time because he won only 1 Ring.
Thus, yet another Finals loss will most definitely hurt LeQueen's legacy.

Not sure why LeBron fans excuse his piss poor shooting in his first finals. 32-90. 36% rounded up. The two games in Cleveland were 3 and a one point loss. LeBron in this finals is not shooting that much better. He has gone to the line 21 more times this year than in 07.

Great point.
In Games 3 and 4 of that (07) Finals LeBron shot 19-53 (49 points on 53 shots - 35.8%) and had 11 TO's... yet the LeTots blame James' supporting cast.

I don't think so. And Lebron has already surpassed West in so may areas of the game, including better stats for the most part. LeBron might not make top ten all time but he'll clearly be rated higher than West
If you consistently get to the finals, especially with a limited cast of others, your legacy stays high or even improves -even if you don't win the ring

But Making the Finals from the East in the past decade is the equivalent to making it out of the first round in the West.sportswise1 wrote:thedangerouskitchen wrote:Jerry West was as good an individual player as we've ever seen (ESPECIALLY in the Finals... and he played in nine -9- of them), but he's never mentioned as a Top 10 player of all-time because he won only 1 Ring.

Yeah but we can just label this the "toughest era ever" and that totally makes it all okay.

After Shaq and before Pau/Bynum, prime Kobe had some pretty lousy supporting casts around him, and his teams missed the playoffs once, and were bounced in the 1st round twice. For the sake of argument, let's say that those Kobe teams played in the east, and Kobe dragged their asses to the Finals 3 years in a row, only to be stomped all 3 times by an unquestionably superior team.
That would make Kobe's "Finals record" 5-4 instead of his current 5-2. If that had happened, would you consider his legacy to be lesser than it is right now because he "failed on the biggest stage so many more times?"

Does Kobe "Shit the bed" like LeBron did in 2 separate Finals series losses as well?rtiff68 wrote:Here's a question for you...AlaskaHawks wrote:But Making the Finals from the East in the past decade is the equivalent to making it out of the first round in the West.sportswise1 wrote:

Let's say that Kobe quit in one of those hypothetical Finals the same way he quit against the Suns in the 1st round and the same way LeBron quit against the Celtics in the playoffs the year before he bolted to Miami...AlaskaHawks wrote:Does Kobe "Shit the bed" like LeBron did in 2 separate Finals series losses as well?rtiff68 wrote:Here's a question for you...AlaskaHawks wrote:

In my opinion, they both quit in those respective series for the exact same reasons: they both knew that they were the best players on the floor, but the next 3-5 best players were all on the other team.
