I think he impacts the game more on the defensive side of the ball then any big right now, with his combination of foot speed, length, and jumping ability he has the opportunity to be down right amazing on that side of the ball. Add in his versatility on offense and ability to handle and pass the ball well, I cant put anyone above him. Admittedly he is my favorite player right now so that may be skewing my judgement but Im sticking to my guns
Roy Hibbert.
Hibbert is great, but he does not impact nearly as much area as davis does. Hibbert is the best paint protector, no doubt, but he doesnt have the footspeed to keep up with guards on switches, nor does he have the combination of speed and length to close down in help defense like Davis does
Davis is great but Roy Hibbert IS the Pacer's defensive system. No other team in the league can defend like the Pacers do, because no other team has a player like Roy Hibbert (Orlando Dwight being the only comparable player.)
~19 months ago Paul George was OVERRATED scoring 16 points on 40% shooting, Lance Stephenson was a SCRUB D-Leaguer and the Pacers were winning 50 games anyway. How did that happen? Great defensive centers are the leading cause of "Wait, how is this team so good?" thoughts from casual fans (not calling you one.) Great defensive bigs allow you to get by with questionable defenders elsewhere and neutralize/frustrate great opposition offense. Duncan in SA. Wallacex2 in Detroit. Howard's Magic. Hibbert's Pacers. Anthony Davis isn't on that level.
I know this is a bumped thread, but it shouldn't even be up for debate at this point. He practically carried his team to the playoffs in the tough west.

I'm busy laughing at lebron in this thread comparing Roy Hibbert to him

Sometimes I think she posts things just to be the contrarian asshole of the bunch. "So & so is great, no?" "Great, sure, but blah blah blah metrics show..." Basically Artman with numbers.

Very true, she does that quite often on here. She's not quite as good as artman yet though

Davis dragged the sorry ass Pelicans to the playoffs in what l3bron has called the greatest conference yet, while Hibbert couldn't even lead the pacers to the playoffs in the sorry ass east.
