Nasty Nikola continues his ROY play... Zarko Fan Club is livid
18-points (2-3 from long-range) and 12-rebounds in 29-minutes... hitting from deep, getting to the line, breaking ankles with 360 spins and drives to the basket.
WoW... !!!
Can you say ROY...? You might... if he keeps up this pace the rest of the year.

He's been playing Great as of Late.
ESPECIALLY in the 4th Quarter! He has been the Best Weapon for the Bulls in the 4th.
If only Thibs didn't have something against Young Talent.........
If not for the all the Injuries, Niko still might have gotten enough Minutes!!

Nikola isn't winning roy bro. But he has a bright future
With 30-35 mins I can see him averaging 17/8/2 on .44/.36 from the field
Rose
Butler
Snell
Nikola
Gasol
Bulls starting lineup end of this year/beginning of next year

Mirotic -- like Wiggins needed Jabari to -- is going to have to hope the Wolves shut Wiggins down for the season to win ROY.
Re: Nasty Nikola continues his ROY play... Zarko Fan Club is livid
That's if we don't sign anybody. Still would like to sign somebody like a Brandon Knight to keep Rose on alert in case his heart isn't into helping the Bulls win a title.Titan18 wrote:Nikola isn't winning roy bro. But he has a bright future

The voting committee is going to see these numbers certain Bulls fans like the OP will simply dismiss or have some canned excuse for:
Mirotic: 38 games below 10 points.
Wiggins: 9 games below 10 points.
Mirotic: held scoreless in 9 games.
Wiggins: lowest game was 3 points.
Mirotic has a promising future, but it's time to just let this ROY pipe dream go. He has simply turned it on too late.

After the 15/16 year. Bulls will already have 70+ mill committed with butlers extension. Only good thing is Bulls likely let Dunleavy walk which means a starting SF spot for Tony boyelmouse03 wrote:I thought they said it was supposed to explode this offseason? Oh well I guess. Well he should make the all rookie 1st team which isn't bad.Havlicekstealsit wrote:The voting committee is going to see these numbers certain Bulls fans like the OP will simply dismiss or have some canned excuse for:

Noah off the bench? I don't know about that one.Titan18 wrote:Nikola isn't winning roy bro. But he has a bright future

Well then Pau off the bench? I think many feel that it's Mirotic's time next year.thedangerouskitchen wrote:Noah off the bench? I don't know about that one.Titan18 wrote:Nikola isn't winning roy bro. But he has a bright future

Pau or Niko are best off the bench WHEN this team is healthy because WHEN they're healthy the starting unit has enough Offense. You put Rose/Butler/Snell/Niko/Gasol as Starters then who is scoring off the bench? Likewise, where is the FC Defense with that starting unit?elmouse03 wrote:Well then Pau off the bench? Niko and Taj with the second-unit gives the bench some real fire-power and still gives the Bulls a ton of scoring from the starters, while (with Noah) still maintaining that Defensive presence.
That's how I see it, anyway...

Noah is declining kind of quickly and is injury prone. I don't think having him come off the bench is a bad thing. In fact I think it can be a revival for Noah. Noah can do some damage with a good 20-25 fresh mins off the benchthedangerouskitchen wrote:Pau or Niko are best off the bench WHEN this team is healthy because WHEN they're healthy the starting unit has enough Offense. The bench would be pretty easy to rebuild with some picks and cheap FA's. Despite Thibs lack of playing young guys we still have some top notch player development. Also can't forget about McDermott. With Mirotic and Snell starting maybe that will help him.Titan18 wrote:Noah is declining kind of quickly and is injury prone. I don't think having him come off the bench is a bad thing. McDermott has been compete trash whenever he plays. However I thought the same of snell so won't rule out that he will improveelmouse03 wrote:The bench would be pretty easy to rebuild with some picks and cheap FA's. That may be so, but it doesn't help the Bulls' FC Defense (which will suffer big-time with Mirotic/Gasol starting, especially in the playoffs when the games are more half-court oriented). If you have Rose/Butler/Snell/Gasol on the floor you really don't need Niko's Offense. On the other hand, lose Mirotic's Scoring off the bench and replace it with Noah, and suddenly you risk your second-unit not being able to score.Titan18 wrote:Noah is declining kind of quickly and is injury prone. I dunno... I just want this freakin' team healthy for the playoffs is all, then everything else will take care of itself.

If we're talking about Noah off the bench next season, yeah, I could see experimenting with that... but this year (going on the assumption that Rose, Butler and Gibson will be back for the playoffs) I wouldn't mess with it.elmouse03 wrote:The bench would be pretty easy to rebuild with some picks and cheap FA's. We're in mid March and missing 3 of our top 5 players. I personally say start the new era of Bulls baskebtall now and see what we got.thedangerouskitchen wrote:If we're talking about Noah off the bench next season, yeah, I could see experimenting with that... but this year (going on the assumption that Rose, Butler and Gibson will be back for the playoffs) I wouldn't mess with it.elmouse03 wrote:The bench would be pretty easy to rebuild with some picks and cheap FA's.
