You're looking for a clear cut answer here, Stephen. But the fact is, no one is saying Harden is leaps and bounds better at scoring than Curry is, just because he averages more ppg. However, getting to the line is a skill, that's a fact. If anyone could get to the FT line as often as he does, then they would. Harden is better at attacking defenses and getting to the charity stripe. Curry is a better shooter. You can't really go wrong with either player, IMO.

Harden is a better scorer, Curry is a better shooter. Simple as that.
So Harden is a better scorer because he gets to the free throw line more?

That's faulty logic is you ask me.

There are many many players who get to the free throw line more than Curry including guys like Jimmy Butler, Demar Derozan, Demarcus Cousins, Gordon Hayward, Kevin Martin, Rudy Gay, Eric Bledsoe, Lou Williams, Isiah Thomas etc.

They all must be better scorers than Curry.
Where do you see me saying he's better simply because he gets to the line more? Guess you missed the part where I said he scores more points, a facet of which involves getting to the line. That's what I'm saying.
Which is what i said all along. Harden scores more points than Curry so he's a better scorer? Whoever scores more points is the better scorer correct?

So you agree that Allen Iverson is one of the best scorers ever, correct? Im sure the same people that pimp Westbrook hate Iverson for doing pretty much the same thing but under different circumstances.

Iverson has a 26.7 career scoring average and that's including his time spent in Detroit and Memphis when he was scoring like 12 a game.

I can't wait for OKC to be healthy and destroy this Warriors team in the Playoffs.

and remember when 876Stephen said the 2013 Heat will destroy the 2001 Lakers?

"Haslem and Birdman will stop Prime Shaq."

LMFAO at this fucking idiot!

We could start a poll:

Best player?

Harden

Curry

Westbrook

Note: I'd expect Curry to win that here due to the haters of Harder and WB.

Westbrook averages .1 more assists which means they are practically equal, especially if you take usage rate into account.

Oh. Well I looked them up and Westbrook is averaging 8.1 to Curry's 7.9.

Westbrook imo has always been an underrated playmaker.

Really can't go wrong with either one but I don't think Curry has the green light that Westbrook currently has in terms of scoring.

And you don't think Curry has the ability to score more than Harden if given the same oppurtunities that Harden is given?

He does but he chooses not to, which is why the Warriors have the best record in the NBA.

Iverson was a bit of a chucker, he scored a lot at a low FG% and while that is OK it doesn't mean he's one of the best scorers ever. FG% (maybe even TS%) as well as PPG is where one should look when comparing who is the better scorer. Harden has the better combination of the two.

This reminds me of a thread that l3bron posted a while back and asked who was the best pure scorer in the NBA. She/he chose LeBron because of more efficient numbers and I chose Kobe because of his variety of ways that he can score.

That... Or because they also have 2 top 10 scorers and the (statistically) best defender in the league.

Curry has a higher TS% than both Harden and Westbrook and Westbrook's case, a lot higher. Harden in no way has the better combination of the two. Harden only scores about 3 more ppp despite playing about 4 more minutes per game, 4.5 more free throws per game and 1 more shot per game.

If Harden was truly a better scorer, with all those advantages he has, he should be scoring closer to 32-33 ppt, not 27. Dont even get me started on Westbrook. He should be averaging like 35-40 points per game this season yet he can only manage 26.5.

That's just one stat. Last I checked he lead in a few others.
