I didn't know you hated religious threads so much. Become a born again Christian so that you can enjoy them and knowing God as a loving Father like I do. Will you join me in Heaven arty?

Yes, the heavy dose of religious threads is getting to be a little too much. It's a major turn-off and only enjoyable once-in-awhile. If I wanted to join a religious message board I would.

Nobody is trying to silence you, but what is the point of bringing up religion almost EVERY DAY on a board where you aren't going to convert a single soul? It comes to a point where each religious thread feels like a troll attempt.CleveTown™ wrote:here we go again, trying to silence the Christian. THAT is what is getting old.
If you want to talk about religion ad nauseam, you should find a place where that is the general topic of conversation. That's just an opinion of course. It's a free board.

I understand that religious discourse may make you terribly uncomfortable, but contrary to what you say, there are a handful of posters here who do enjoy praising the Lord. Fpliii said anything goes on this board. I don't get what the big fuss is about. You knew what this board was about before signing up, didn't you?Robceltsfan wrote:Nobody is trying to silence you, but what is the point of bringing up religion almost EVERY DAY on a board where you aren't going to convert a single soul? And secondly, how do you know with 100% certainty that no soul will ever be converted here? You may be lost beyond reprieve but that doesn't mean other seekers of the Truth are.

Seekers of "the Truth" aren't coming to this board to look for it. It doesn't make me uncomfortable to talk about religion, but there comes a point where it isn't conducive to traffic on a sports message board. Topics here generally are for debate, or at least that's what I come to do. Either debate or talk shit. If I'm to engage in conversation about religion I'm going to be in a debate position, not an agreeance position. However, the debate on religion isn't what someone like you wants. You're not looking for debate on the topic, you're simply looking for submission to your "truth". Others can't argue with you because you simply turn the argument to hearsay or an ancient book that has many, many contradictions and unproveable "facts".
Religion is a personal choice and should be done personally. People that try to push their various religious beliefs on others is the biggest turn-off of all regarding religion.

I'm sorry you feel that way. Would it be more beneficial if in the future you chose not to click on any threads dealing with religion?Robceltsfan wrote:CleveTown™ wrote:I understand that religious discourse may make you terribly uncomfortable, but contrary to what you say, there are a handful of posters here who do enjoy praising the Lord. Re: Stop humoring Clevetrans religious propoganda threads
I don't come here to avoid discussions. There are times when 5-7 topics (or more) on the front page are religious based. Why would I want to come to a place where I need to ignore 20-40% of the topics? Would you want to go to a discussion board where 20-40% of the topics are started by a bunch of atheists that denounce religion and belittle your beliefs regularly?CleveTown™ wrote:I'm sorry you feel that way. Re: Stop humoring Clevetrans religious propoganda threads
Ok, but please understand that I do not create 5-7 topics about religion on any given page, though. Look at my latest threads: one about a quiz of where you would live in Europe, a NFL related thread and one about Jake the Snake and his cancer.Robceltsfan wrote:I don't come here to avoid discussions. I didn't say you were the only one, but you are certainly the tip of the arrow. I get along with you pretty well when we're talking about non-religion related topics.

Well that's good Rob, I think we can certainly get along too outside of religious discussions. I think you should just not get involved in spiritual matters on the board and you would prevent a lot of headaches for yourself, I think. I'm sorry for causing any of those headaches, too =)Robceltsfan wrote:CleveTown™ wrote:Ok, but please understand that I do not create 5-7 topics about religion on any given page, though.
