Yes, because that one -1- game sample size says so much... especially since the Blazers were without Aldridge

Also, how did Pop beat the Blazers exactly Bozo...? Was he the reason SA got 96 points (on 56% shooting combined) from Manu, Belinelli, Mills, Green and Splitter?

I mean, if Thibs had such lights-out shooting on his team the Bulls would be working on a Dynasty right now.

"Lights-out" shooter Marco Belinelli was averaging 9 PPG on 39% shooting from the field and 35% from deep [51% TS%] under Thibs.

He plays under Pop the next season and averages 16 PPG (per 36 minutes) on 50% shooting from the field and 45% from deep [61% TS%.]

Belinelli is shooting better this year because he's got MUCH better shooting teammates around him... and when you've got better shooting / scoring teammates that means it's much tougher for the opposing Defense to key in on one guy (making it easier for the Offense to score).

That's elementary basketball, sherlock.

2013 Bulls: 25th in FG% / 29th in 3PT% / 21st in PPG
2014 Spurs: 2nd in FG% / 1st in 3PT% / 8th in PPG

Time for you to go make TDK a sammich...

Pops is the greatest NBA coach not named Phil

Thibs is better than Pop, deal with it.

Thibs would have never choked in the Finals last year.

He just runs his players into the ground before he gets there.

I don't think he's underrated. He would be voted best coach in the NBA by probably all circles.

People who think Pops is overrated because "lol tim duncan" are simply clueless.

That is not where Pop's utility lies. Not at all, and the Portland game was a good example.
Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.

Pops is easily the best coach in the game and I don't think it's close. It's amazing how well he utilizes players to their strengths. It seems like he puts EVERY one of his players into the best position to succeed. Give Pops a steaming bag of shit signed to a 10 day contract and that shit would still average 6/3 in limited minutes.

Popps took a Heat team to seven game in the post season. That's something Thibs never did and never will do.

But he'll choke in the ECF with home-court advantage against the Heat.
